“Hardly,” Otabek responds without missing a beat. Yuri is 27 and Otabek will be 30 in less than three weeks. Honestly, it's inconsiderate for Yuri to talk this way about his age, but since when is Yuri considerate?

Yuri sighs, banging the back of his head against the island wall. “Ugh, but still. I'm already dried up. Everyone left for shitty husbands and wives and kids.”

Otabek shifts his eyes lazily to Yuri. “Where did I go, exactly?”

Yuri squints, flicking at a ball of lint by his foot. “Nowhere, I guess.”
