At the club
( Starter for @oswalddares )
“I don’t know, I mean.. being on tour so much is kind of tiring. I kind of think that I would like to stay in one spot for awhile,” a slow sigh escaped dark lips, as a pale finger traced the rim of a glass.
“As tiring as it can be, though.. it is pretty interesting.” Another sigh escaped her lips, as bright eyes went from looking off to the side, to the girl sitting beside her; a friend of hers, who was in her band with her. “I mean, we have never been here before..so there’s that.” she shrugged, and chewed on her lower lip.
“Well,” her friend, Ash, started. “We could look for something here? I mean, there’s bound to be somebody around here who’d have use for a band.” she said, while crossing her legs. Picking up her phone, she turned on the screen.
“How do you spell the name of this city again? I keep forgetting.” Ash rose an eyebrow, looking over at Izzy.
Izzy brushed some of her hair out of her face, and thought for a moment. “I think it’s ‘Gotham,’ so..it’s be like ‘got’ and ‘ham,’ but without the spaces.” picking up her glass, Izzy finished off what she’d been drinking. While Ash was looking up job openings, their other bandmate, Ash’s sister Luna, walked over.
“Whoever owns this place must like penguins a lot,” she commented. “I’ve seen a lot of penguin-themed decorations around here since I got in. They’re kind of cool.” she smiled a bit, sitting down on the other side of Izzy. “If you don’t mind the pun. Given the name of this place.” Luna stated, while leaning her back against the bar.
“Hm?” Izzy looked up, and rose her eyebrow.
“The Iceburg Lounge, silly. Didn’t you notice?”
“Oh, sorry. I’ve been a bit distracted. Tired of travelling I guess.”
Ash looked through information on her phone, then tugged on Izzy’s sleeve. “Hey, Izzy. I think I found something. There’s actually an opening here, I think. All we have to do is talk to the owner.” she paused. “Which..he might be here somewhere, if we look.” Ash smiled at her, then pulled up a picture. “Oh, I think he might be over there. Does that look like the same person to you?”
Izzy paused, glancing at the picture and then over where Ash had nodded her head. She wasn’t trying to stare, although it probably came off that way.
