It felt still like an excellent choice for Laura to move to the Islands. Faroe Islands were small and no one knew her so even with all her problems she could built al anew. Plus the surroundings didn’t make her feel as it was demanded she builds a wide and big life, instead small and modest.
She did her best to work as a translator which was easy with the modern technology to do in long distances. She also tried to write but often got caught in a writersblock because of her insecurities and doubt. But a new friend always suggested she’d go to the library to research and try and write.
Browsing the library was nice, since they also had old comics, a small weakness Laura has had for. Something in drawing inspired her, both in words and imagination. But formatting was her Achilles heel and she needed help with it so she collected quite a few books in her arms but she needed more to compare to.Â
A librarian recommended a few books but one of them was at the very top shelf, it was thick, and no way could Laura reach it. She had gone to the librarian twice already so she was too embarrassed to go an ask help again so she kept trying to reach the book desperately. She groaned softly, stretching and tiptoeing but couldn’t even touch the book. A few frustrated mumbles escaped her as she kept on going, trying also not to think she might be embarrassing herself completely.Â
