As nice as it was to just lie down on the grass and quietly observe the silent trees of ancient age, the first thing he really should be doing on being around this place was to see who else lived around here: hey, if he was going to be staying here, then the least he could do was try to get along and say hi to everyone! Communication was important, even in a place like this: perhaps even more so, because he didn’t know anything right now about this place and needed more ‘experienced’ people to the area to give him a quick-heads up. The ‘why’, and ‘where’: he didn’t mind exploring by himself, but it sure would help if he got given the basics at least! Surely it wouldn’t hurt to just knock on the doors that were in the big redwood, right? Yeah, true, there was the chance nobody’d be home, but worth a try at least. Knock after knock resulted in nothing, and Kaito was close to just shrugging it off and going on his way when one of the doors swung open - with a face that would have made him stagger back if he wasn’t so sure of his step, a face that he was sure he’d never see peering back again, and instinct led him to point a shocked finger at the face in question, his light purple eyes wide: “What the heck are you doin’ here?! You...I....whaa??” Coherent words escaped him right now, but his thoughts were all over the place. Despite it being something that ‘had’ to be done, his thoughts still weighed heavy with guilt about all that had happened in the end: but here that person, Kokichi Ouma himself, was, like nothing had gone wrong at all. It was at this point Kaito was starting to wonder if this really was ‘heaven’ - even after what he’d done himself, he was here? Even after Kokichi himself causing as many shenanigans as they had, he was here...huh. If this wasn’t ‘heaven’, then....how the heck were they both standing here?!
