hi! so this is a kind of specific question, but do you have any advice for making the black outlines around characters in gifs bolder and more defined?? i've noticed that those lines tend to look really thin/blur in my gifs, and so i was hoping there might be some sort of solution. thank you so much!! <3
Hello! Hmm it might sometimes depend on the colouring of your gif, but for the most part I would recommend enhancing black by using the selective colour layer. If you simply make it darker it will look more defined. I tend to darken black in all my colourings with every selective colour layer I use, so that might be a good place to start! The reason I say colouring might be the thing is because if you make a colouring where dark colours turn lighter, it might effect the lines of the characters themselves. I can show you an example of a gif colouring I did.....
See here, the lines in Hinataâs hair arenât even black anymore and theyâre very thin, this is because I changed the cyans of yellows and reds in selective colour layers to -100. So at times, the thin lines happen because of the way the colouring was done (and btw, I donât think itâs a bad thing at all!).Â
Hope this help you a bit and hopefully i understood your question correctly! Please feel free to message if you have any other questions :DÂ
