iBook G3/600 14 in. Early 2002 Model M8413

The latest addition to my collection is also the oldest. Introduced January of 2002 and discontinued May the same year, this  model of Apple’s iBook line of laptops shipped with a PowerPC 750cx CPU clocked at 600 MHz.The base model included 256 MB of PC100 SO-DIMM RAM. 128 MB of this is onboard while the remainder is installed into a user-accessible slot. The memory can be upgraded to a total of 640 MB, which I have done. This model weighs in at just under 6 pounds.

Finally I was able to save screenshots from the game. These are actual screenshots taken from my G3 iMac via the video card and saved on an external HD. No emulation, this is how the real thing looks...and this was pretty much work, as OS 9 loved to freeze whenever I took a pic... >‸<: So, I wasn’t able to catch everything, but as I split this tour into four posts, there’s still plenty of pictures for you! Anyway here in my first post we take a look at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and see what Mr. Burns and Smithers are up to in their office! ♡ ^◡^

Here I was on my way to the Power Plant...you already can see it from some distance (if your graphics card is good enough hahaha!) ≧◡≦ 

no safety control at the entrance...they just let me in! ◕‿◕

They should really clean their parking area! Looks like fireworks and/or rockets?

And here we are in Mr. Burns’ office! ♥ There’s really a lot you can do and see here (and even unlock later). He must have been really in a good mood during my virtual visit, take a look yourself! ◕‿-

Or was he just dancing for Smithers? •ᴗ•

These are books Mr. Burns keeps on his desk. In my upcoming Virtual Springfield screenshot posts we will see more of the Power Plant, but then take a look at Burns’ Manor and Smithers’ house, watch for special items, join them on a bicycle tour plus follow further cameos all around Springfield. And here we go again with my Mr. Burns and Smithers tour through Virtual Springfield. ♥ We are still at the Power Plant where clever gamers can find a funny scene in the hidden room. To unlock this you need to find and collect Monty’s key and later use it in his office! ✿

So now we move on and travel around Springfield. It didn’t take long until I encountered the two during their sports activities! ^◡^

Hey, I was about to visit you at home! Can I come with you? ◕‿- ♡

Sure I can, it wasn’t a long way to Burns’ Manor. Right here pictured next to the Malibu Stacy house...even Smithers has a little house in the same street. But we come back to that one later.

And here we are...I think I’m not very welcome. ⇀‸↼: No chance they let me in!  There’s sadly no way to enter Burns’ house. Anyway if you stand here for a while the two come out (like pictured here) and do several things.

...I might have overdone it with my appearances next to the entrance and let Mr. Burns faint! ◉o◉ Again Smithers to the rescue! ♥︎

I haven’t found more of the two around Springfield (maybe there’s more content, but I haven’t seen it yet!), but I discovered something right in the Simpsons’ house! There’s even an event where you can trigger Mr. Burns looking through the window. ◕‿-

You need to go into Maggie’s room, by waiting there for some while (and when she isn’t present) Monty will look through the window and keep on searching for Bobo. ^◡^

I hope you enjoyed my visit through Springfield and I could show you some of your interest! I highly recommend that game to every Simpsons fan, but it probably will be a pain to get to work properly in 2017! I really had my troubles (especially with the screenshots, you don’t want to know how often I had to restart my iMac after taking these! >‸<: ), but the hard work I put into installing operating systems, deleting and partitioning two old HDs, plus a few things more, payed off…this is one of the best Simpsons games out there! ♥︎ ≧◡≦
