me and my best friend were discussing hcs for my fic and somehow we came to the conclusion that Orochimaru/Sakumo and Orochimaru being Kakashi's actual father is logically more canon than Sakumo/random-Inuzuka-woman.
We came to this conclusion cuz if Kakashi really had a mother from Inuzuka's clan per many ppls hc (im not judging, it just doesn't work for me), they would not calm down until they had THEIR pup with them again.
But if it was just Sakumo and his randomly spawned kid, then it'd be logical that no one would take him in cuz no one really had any claim on him legally or just want him in general cuz of White Fang's reputation.
BTW the one who gave birth was Sakumo cuz only this way Orochimaru and Kakashi are not aware about their connection, so it can be painlessly write into the canon.
