I just want to say, I love giving away origami because it means absolutely NOTHING to me and EVERYTHING to someone else. Like, if I make a dragon, I have made it a thousand times before, my apartment would fill up with them if I'm not careful, I've literally burned them just 'cause. But when I give them away to people, I just love the way their eyes light up. Some people have recognized me years later and told me that they put the origami I made them on display. That their son loved what I made and named it. How people who come into their office always ask about it. How they've used me as an example of someone who struggles with things but still accomplishes amazing things. Like, it's so special to me. I don't remember these people. I was just folding paper because I have ADHD and didn't want to focus 100%. I made that origami thing in 10 minutes and then forgot about it forever. But it always means so much to me that something so small can have such an impact.
