I had so much fun recreating some of the Lower Decks character rigs! I tried to get them as show accurate as possible, same with the backgrounds, and it was cool to animate with them after I made them!

Does anybody have any good Orion headcanons?
I am working on an Orion conlang and I want to have words for everything that would be relevant to them.
So far, I know that they come from the remnants of a collapsed empire, so I think they are all hybrids—various species mixed together during the imperial era to make what we call Orions. This accounts for their great diversity: green, blue, gray, and purple; pheromones or no pheromones; etc. After the fall of the empire, the region devolved into anarchy, crime, and control by a variety of Great Houses.
Deafness is common among Orions (because one of their parent species did not possess hearing) so sign languages are common, including formal dances of the high houses and secret sign languages used by prisoners.
There are many Orion languages (in addition to many planets, religions, and so on). What I'm making is often called Low Orion, the lingua franca of slaves, traders, and pirates.
The family structure within this group can be a blood family or a chosen family. A chosen family (caj'lyn) is a group of people who have bonded voluntarily, often including lovers, adopted children, former fellow slaves, and so on. (A lot of this is seen in @android-and-ale 's fic One Daily Shoulder Pat and is her idea.)
Oh, and it's canon that the book Kirk loves so much on the theme of "let me help" was written on an Orion world, so I'm saying it's a classic Orion novel about the formation of a chosen family.
