Staying Busy over the Summer
Hello everyone! I haven’t done a post like this before so hopefully, someone will find this useful and enjoy it. I’ve created a list of things I do over the summer to keep myself busy and productive!
1 | Get a summer internship that benefits your future career or something that interests you! Even a short summer internship helps build your resume and network so you will definitely be thanking yourself later for it.
2 | Experiment with adding new things to your morning or night routine! During the summer when you don’t have to rush out the door in the morning or when you’re busy with completing homework is a good time to start experimenting with things you’ve been wanting to add to your daily routines. Try new skincare or incorporate a daily habit you want to have during the school year.
3 | Set yourself a reading goal! This summer I’ve set a goal to read at least 25 books (would be more, but I have an internship and summer online courses). Not only do you get to enjoy good books, but it’s the perfect way to wind down in the afternoon instead of being on your phone.
4 | Take summer courses! This is more so for college/university students. Knockout easier (core) classes at community colleges that would be a waste of time and extra money that would be spent at your normal college/university. You can also take the chance to gain credit for the harder classes that you want to be able to focus all your attention on at once. This can help set you up to graduate quicker or even open up time to add in a minor or a second major!
5 | Purge and organize! Now is the perfect time to realize what isn’t essential to have in your life. Do you really need those to-do lists that don’t stick good and that you never find yourself using? Try to donate or sell these items! Also, take the opportunity to throw away papers and anything else that isn’t important to keep from the previous school year.
6 | Finish and binge all those Netflix shows you’ve been wanting to all school year! Now's the time that you can binge watch Netflix shows and not feel guilty about neglecting your studies.
7 | Pick up a new hobby or develop a new skill! Learn to do something artsy, learn a new language, or try something you’ve been wanting to do.
If there’s anything else you think of, please add on so others can learn from you as well! I’d love to start doing more posts so if there is anything you’d like to see send me a message!
Since I still have one month left before I can use my actual Day Designer I decided to print out some of their printables to use everyday ✨
