my unhinged productivity hacksâ.ŕłŕż*:シđđ°
quick disclaimer : i'm not writing this post to encourage someone to do ANYTHING, i know that what im about to share might be a little bit extreme but this is what works for ME. i respond well to these and i do all of these in moderation! i put the word "unhinged" in the title for a reason...đŹđ
PRETEND LIKE YOU'RE COMPETING WITH SOMEONE ;
listen, i know the only person we're in competition with is ourselves but sometimes it helps to create competition in ur head. it doesn't even have to be with an actual person. i just think of myself when i did something i was SUPER proud of, and then im like "out-do her" and it kind of pushes me to be better then the me i was when i did that thing.
or i make up a person in my head to compete with. im a naturally super competitive person and sometimes having a little fire under my ass helps me to push myself further then i think i can go, and i end up doing something great,
FAKE DEADLINES ;
i hate rushing to complete assignments before the deadline, it literally sucks the life out of me. to make sure im never in that situation i set something called a ghost deadline, where instead of putting the actual deadline in my agenda, i make up a deadline 1-2 days before its actually due.
that way im ahead of all my assignments, and im not scrambling to submit something at the last minute because it stresses me out and completely disregulates my nervous system.
WATCH PRODUCTIVITY VLOGS ;
listen... those rednote baddies are so fucking PRODUCTIVE. and i know that this is very carefully curated and highly probable that it's not their actual everyday routine, but seeing someone carry out such meticulous self care and productivity is incredibly motivating.
when im not feeling motivated, i watch the rednote baddie productivity vlogs whether it's studying, doing self care etc. it always motivates me and gives me a good example.

â§ăťă: â§how i use pinterest intentionally (not just endless scrolling) :ăťăâ§:ăťăâ§
hey lovelies! â¨
confession time: i used to be a chronic pinterest scroller with absolutely nothing to show for my hours spent in the app. i'd save hundreds of pins to boards with vague names like "aesthetic" and "vibes," never to look at them again. sound familiar? but over the past year, i've completely transformed how i use pinterest from mindless consumption to an intentional tool that actually enhances my life. here's exactly how i made the shift!
â.ŕłŕż:シ the pinterest mindset shift シ:ŕżŕł.â
the game-changer for me was realizing that pinterest isn't just for collecting pretty pictures, it's a visual search engine and planning tool. now i approach it with purpose:
i ask myself "why am i opening this app right now?" before i even click the icon or enter it into the search bar
i set specific time limits for browsing (15-30 minutes max)
i focus on quality over quantity with my pins
i treat my boards as action plans, not just digital hoarding spaces
i regularly revisit and implement ideas from my boards
this shift transformed pinterest from a time-waster to one of my most valuable tools for planning, creativity, and personal growth.
â.ŕłŕż:シ my board organization system シ:ŕżŕł.â
the foundation of intentional pinterest use is thoughtful organization! here's my current system:
đŽđ˘đ´đľđŚđł đ¤đ˘đľđŚđ¨đ°đłđŞđŚđ´: i group my boards into categories using board covers in the same color palette (lifestyle, home, fashion, etc.)
đ˘đ¤đľđŞđ°đŻđ˘đŁđđŚ đŻđ˘đŽđŞđŻđ¨: instead of vague names, i use specific titles like "meals for busy weeknights" or "bedroom refresh ideas 2025"
đ´đŚđ¤đľđŞđ°đŻđ´ đ¸đŞđľđŠđŞđŻ đŁđ°đ˘đłđĽđ´: i break down larger boards into sections (my "morning routine" board has sections for drinks, movement, journaling, etc.)
đąđłđŞđˇđ˘đľđŚ đˇđ´. đąđśđŁđđŞđ¤: i keep boards private when they're in planning stages, then make them public once they're curated
đ´đŚđ˘đ´đ°đŻđ˘đ đ˘đłđ¤đŠđŞđˇđŞđŻđ¨: i archive boards that aren't currently relevant (like christmas decor in july) to reduce visual clutter
â.ŕłŕż:シ my favorite intentional board types シ:ŕżŕł.â
here are the board categories that have added genuine value to my life:
đąđłđ°đŤđŚđ¤đľ-đ´đąđŚđ¤đŞđ§đŞđ¤ đŁđ°đ˘đłđĽđ´: whenever i start a new project (room redecoration, event planning, etc.), i create a dedicated board with sections for different aspects
đ´đŚđ˘đ´đ°đŻđ˘đ đŞđŻđľđŚđŻđľđŞđ°đŻ đŁđ°đ˘đłđĽđ´: i create a fresh board each season with sections for recipes, activities, outfits, and decor i want to incorporate
đ¤đ˘đąđ´đśđđŚ đ¸đ˘đłđĽđłđ°đŁđŚ đąđđ˘đŻđŻđŞđŻđ¨: i pin actual items i own alongside new pieces i'm considering to visualize combinations
đŽđŚđ˘đ đąđđ˘đŻđŻđŞđŻđ¨ đ´đşđ´đľđŚđŽ: i maintain boards for different meal categories and actually reference them when making grocery lists
đ¨đŞđ§đľ đŞđĽđŚđ˘đ´: i have a board for each important person in my life where i pin potential gifts year-round
đ¨đ°đ˘đ đˇđŞđ´đśđ˘đđŞđťđ˘đľđŞđ°đŻ: i create boards for specific goals with both inspiration and actionable steps
â.ŕłŕż:シ my pinterest workflow シ:ŕżŕł.â
this is my personal step-by-step process for intentional pinning:
đ´đŚđľ đ˘ đ¤đđŚđ˘đł đąđśđłđąđ°đ´đŚ: i decide what specific question i'm trying to answer or problem i'm trying to solve
đ¤đłđŚđ˘đľđŚ đ˘ đ´đŚđ˘đłđ¤đŠ đ´đľđłđ˘đľđŚđ¨đş: i use specific search terms rather than browsing the home feed (which is designed for endless scrolling)
đ¤đśđłđ˘đľđŚ đ¤đ˘đłđŚđ§đśđđđş: i only save pins that:
⢠provide clear value or inspiration
⢠lead to actual content (not dead links)
⢠represent ideas i genuinely might implement
đ˘đĽđĽ đŻđ°đľđŚđ´: i write specific notes on pins about why i saved them or how i plan to use the idea
đŞđŽđąđđŚđŽđŚđŻđľđ˘đľđŞđ°đŻ đąđđ˘đŻđŻđŞđŻđ¨: after a pinning session, i schedule time to actually try one of the ideas
â.ŕłŕż:シ from virtual to reality シ:ŕżŕł.â
the most important part of intentional pinterest use is implementation! here's how i ensure my pins actually translate to real life:
đ¸đŚđŚđŹđđş đąđŞđŻ đłđŚđˇđŞđŚđ¸: every sunday, i spend 10 minutes reviewing recent pins and selecting 1-3 to implement that week
đąđŞđŻ-đľđ°-đ˘đ¤đľđŞđ°đŻ đľđłđ˘đ¤đŹđŚđł: i keep a simple journal noting which pins i've actually implemented
đąđŠđ°đľđ° đĽđ°đ¤đśđŽđŚđŻđľđ˘đľđŞđ°đŻ: i take photos of my real-life versions of pinterest inspiration
đłđŚđ˘đđŞđľđş đ¤đŠđŚđ¤đŹđ´: i regularly ask "do i have the time/budget/skills for this?" before saving aspirational pins
đ´đŚđ˘đ´đ°đŻđ˘đ đ¤đđŚđ˘đŻđ°đśđľ: i remove pins that no longer feel aligned with my taste or goals
once you've mastered the basics, these strategies take intentional pinning to the next level! i hope you all enjoy them!:
đ¨đłđ°đśđą đŁđ°đ˘đłđĽđ´: i create collaborative boards with friends for shared projects or trips
đąđŞđŻ đŽđ˘đąđąđŞđŻđ¨: for complex projects, i create flow charts showing how different pins connect to each other
đŞđĽđŚđ˘ đŚđˇđ°đđśđľđŞđ°đŻ đŁđ°đ˘đłđĽđ´: i document my own progress by pinning "before" and "after" images of my projects
đ¤đ°đŻđľđŚđŻđľ đ¤đ˘đđŚđŻđĽđ˘đł: i use pinterest to plan content themes for my blog and social media (i of course also use pinterest for images for my blog)
đđŚđ˘đłđŻđŞđŻđ¨ đąđ˘đľđŠđ¸đ˘đşđ´: i create sequential boards that build skills in a particular area
â.ŕłŕż:シ final thoughts シ:ŕżŕł.â
pinterest is whatever you make of it, it can be a mindless scroll hole or one of the most powerful tools for intentional living and creativity. the difference lies entirely in how you approach it.
i still enjoy the occasional aimless browsing session (we all need that sometimes!), but transforming most of my pinterest time into purposeful searching and planning has genuinely enhanced my life. my spaces are more cohesve, my wardrobe more intentional, and my creative projects more focused, all because i stopped treating pinterest like social media and started using it like the powerful visual tool it truly is.
how do you use pinterest? are you a careful curator or a joyful browser? feel free to drop your thoughts in the notes!

Best Ways to Keep Your Life Organized and Stress-Free
In todayâs fast-paced world, staying organized and stress-free can feel like an impossible task. But with the right strategies, tools, and mindset, you can transform chaos into calm and create a life that feels manageable and fulfilling. Whether youâre juggling work, family, or personal goals, these tips will help you stay on top of your game. Letâs dive into the best ways to keep your life organized and stress-free!
Why Organization Matters
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, letâs talk about why organization is so important. Being organized isnât just about having a tidy desk or a color-coded planner (although those are great). Itâs about creating systems that make your life easier, saving time, reducing stress, and helping you focus on what truly matters.
When youâre organized:
- Youâre less likely to forget important deadlines or appointments.
- You can prioritize tasks more effectively.
- You feel more in control of your life.
- You have more time for the things you love.
Now that weâve established the âwhy,â letâs move on to the âhow.â
1. Start with a Brain Dump
One of the best ways to clear your mind and get organized is to do a brain dump. Grab a notebook or open a blank document and write down everything thatâs on your mindâtasks, ideas, worries, appointments, and goals. Donât worry about organizing it yet; just get it all out.
Once youâve emptied your brain, you can start categorizing and prioritizing the items on your list. This process not only helps you feel less overwhelmed but also gives you a clear starting point.
2. Use a Planner or Digital Calendar
Whether you prefer a physical planner or a digital calendar, having a system to track your schedule is essential. A good planner can help you:
- Keep track of appointments and deadlines.
- Plan your day, week, or month in advance.
- Set and track goals.
If youâre tech-savvy, apps like Google Calendar, Notion, or Trello can be game-changers. They allow you to set reminders, share schedules with others, and access your plans from anywhere.
3. Declutter Your Space
A cluttered space equals a cluttered mind. Take some time to declutter your home, workspace, or even your digital devices. Start smallâmaybe tackle one drawer or folder at a time.
Here are some quick decluttering tips:
- The 80/20 Rule: You probably use 20% of your belongings 80% of the time. Focus on keeping the essentials and letting go of the rest.
- One In, One Out: For every new item you bring in, get rid of one.
- Digital Declutter: Organize your files, delete unnecessary emails, and clean up your desktop.
4. Create Routines
Routines are the backbone of organization. They help you establish habits and reduce decision fatigue. Start by creating a morning and evening routine that works for you.
Morning Routine Ideas:
- Make your bed.
- Write a to-do list.
- Spend 5 minutes tidying up.
- Meditate or stretch.
Evening Routine Ideas:
- Review your day and plan for tomorrow.
- Prep meals or outfits for the next day.
- Unplug from screens at least 30 minutes before bed.
5. Prioritize Self-Care
Itâs hard to stay organized and stress-free if youâre running on empty. Make self-care a priority by scheduling time for activities that recharge you. This could be anything from reading a book to taking a bubble bath to going for a walk.
Remember, self-care isnât selfishâitâs necessary. When you take care of yourself, youâre better equipped to handle lifeâs challenges.
6. Learn to Say No
One of the biggest causes of stress is overcommitting. If youâre constantly saying âyesâ to everything, youâll quickly find yourself overwhelmed. Practice setting boundaries and saying ânoâ to things that donât align with your priorities.
7. Automate and Delegate
Why do everything yourself when you donât have to? Look for ways to automate repetitive tasks or delegate them to others.
Examples of Automation:
- Use apps like Zapier to automate workflows.
- Set up automatic bill payments.
- Use grocery delivery or subscription services.
Examples of Delegation:
- Hire a virtual assistant for administrative tasks.
- Ask family members to help with chores.
- Outsource tasks like cleaning or lawn care.
8. Stay Flexible
Life is unpredictable, and no matter how organized you are, things wonât always go according to plan. The key is to stay flexible and adapt when necessary. If something doesnât work, donât be afraid to tweak your systems or try something new.
9. Celebrate Your Wins
Finally, donât forget to celebrate your accomplishmentsâbig and small. Whether itâs completing a major project or simply sticking to your routine for a week, take a moment to acknowledge your hard work.
FAQs
1. How do I stay motivated to stay organized?
Staying motivated starts with setting clear goals and reminding yourself of the benefits of being organized. Break tasks into smaller steps and reward yourself for completing them.
2. Whatâs the best way to handle procrastination?
Start with the easiest or most enjoyable task to build momentum. Use techniques like the Pomodoro method (working in short bursts) to stay focused.
3. How can I organize my digital life?
Use tools like cloud storage to keep files accessible, create folders for different categories, and regularly delete unnecessary files and apps.
4. What should I do if I feel overwhelmed?
Take a break, do a brain dump, and focus on one task at a time. Remember, itâs okay to ask for help or take things slow.
5. How often should I declutter?
Declutter as often as needed. Some people prefer a weekly tidy-up, while others do a big cleanout every few months.
Final Thoughts
Staying organized and stress-free is a journey, not a destination. Itâs about finding what works for you and being consistent. With these tips, youâll be well on your way to creating a life that feels balanced and fulfilling.

Planner Setup 101: Making Your Planner Work for You
A Step-by-Step Guide to Boosting Organization and Efficiency
Your planner isnât just a notebook with datesâitâs a tool for transforming chaos into clarity. But too often, we try to cram our lives into someone else's idea of âorganized.â What if your planner actually worked for you, not the other way around?
Letâs walk through how to set up a planner that fits your life, your goals, and your rhythm. Whether youâre brand new to planning or looking to refresh your current system, this step-by-step guide will help you create a setup thatâs both functional and empowering.
Step 1: Choose the Right Planner for You
Thereâs no one-size-fits-all approach. Ask yourself:
Do you prefer digital or paper?
Do you like daily breakdowns, weekly views, or monthly overviews?
Do you need portability, or do you keep your planner on your desk?
Donât be afraid to experiment until you find the format that clicks. It should feel like an extension of your brainânot a burden.
Step 2: Define Your Plannerâs Purpose
Be clear about why youâre using a planner. Is it to:
Track appointments and deadlines?
Manage projects or business tasks?
Build habits and routines?
Prioritize self-care and mental wellness?
All of the above?
Once you define the purpose, you can design your layout accordingly. This step prevents overwhelm and helps you stay focused.
Step 3: Create Your Core Sections
Every effective planner has key sections that reflect your priorities. Here are a few you might include:
Monthly Calendars: For long-term planning and key events
Weekly Spreads: For mapping out tasks and routines
Daily Pages: For detailed to-dos, time blocking, or journaling
Goals: Break big dreams into achievable steps
Habit Trackers: Build consistency, one day at a time
Notes/Ideas: Capture inspiration when it strikes
Only include what youâll actually use. A bloated planner can quickly become a dusty one.
One of my daily spreads that helps me keep my day on track and aligned with my overall goals:
Step 4: Customize with Intention
This is where your planner truly becomes yours. Add:
Color coding or labels for quick reference
Stickers or washi tape if youâre creative (and motivated by visuals)
Tabs, bookmarks, or dashboards for easy navigation
Inserts or templates that reflect your lifestyleâlike meal planning, finance tracking, or project management
Customization isnât just for aestheticsâit boosts usability.
One of my favorite custom spreads:
Step 5: Set a Planning Routine
A planner only works if you use it. Set aside time regularly to:
Review your week every Sunday (or your reset day)
Check-in each morning to adjust tasks or priorities
Do a monthly reflection to reset your goals and intentions
This habit turns planning into a rhythm, not a chore.
Step 6: Give Yourself Permission to Adjust
Your life changes. So should your planner. Donât be afraid to revise your layout, simplify sections, or even switch systems if somethingâs not working. Flexibility is the key to sustainability.
Final Thoughts
A well-set-up planner doesnât just organize your timeâit helps you own it. Whether youâre juggling multiple roles or simply trying to stay sane in a busy world, your planner should serve you.
Remember: Itâs not about having the perfect planner. Itâs about creating a space that supports your unique goals, pace, and priorities.
So take a deep breath, grab your favorite pen, and start building a system that lets you thrive.
