we know it might take you& a while to get around to this ask, but do you guys have any advice about how to know if one of your members has a sidesystem?
this is a pretty old ask but it only just turned up at the bottom of our inbox? sorry about that
anyway, first of all, i don't think members can have sidesystems, but rather the whole system would have one. a sidesystem is a system that's in the same body as another system, but they're separated, or beside each other. a subsystem is a system inside another system, and members can have subsystems because it's like a member being a system themselves. there are sometimes certain members who can jump between sidesystems, so that connection might make it feel like it's their sidesystem, but it's just generally it's own separate thing
we don't have experience with discovering subsystems so we don't have much advice we can offer, but i imagine it's a bit like discovering your system as a whole is a system, but a bit more complex because you might not know if you switched with someone from the main system, or switched with your subsystem. depending on how vivid your innerworld is, the subsystem might be able to notice they've switched but still have the same body innerworld, and then that would be like discovering the system as a whole. if your innerworld isn't vivid like that, maybe there's a feeling associated with the subsystem that stays there when they switch. there could be a secondary innerworld that only the subsystem members can go to, or members that only those in the subsystem can communicate with
is there anyone who has experience with discovering subsystems who could offer advice?
