THE DISTRICTS OF DOMUM.
Domum is the capital of Calcom and the main city of the realm. It hosts many districts that each have their own purpose.
The main district of Domum is Sanctus, the religious district. Scattered across this area are various temples for the gods ( minus Mortem and her children ). Each god has their own temple where their patrons leave offerings in, usually left at the foot of the statues. Inside there are also scriptures telling the origins of the gods. It’s a holy place for the people, and it isn’t uncommon for those in need to seek sanctuary here.
The second district is Ludum, the event district. Here is where the colosseum is. Sporting events ( such as horse races, track, wrestling, ball games ) are hosted here along with festivals. Even parties are held here.
The third district is the housing district Vivet. Here are apartment complexes and houses. Those who live in the city live here. There are also shelters for refugees here. When Sciptmnes had formed an alliance with Odin, she constructed temporary homes for Asgardians to stay when they came for trading goods.
The fourth district is Ingenii, the education district. Schools for the people were put up here by the order of Cerebum. Education is free for all here, it doesn’t matter one's class. History, mathematics, the arts, literature, and more are taught here. Several libraries and museums are also here.
The fifth district is located on the end of the city, it’s far from the trail that leads to Caelum. This district is called Malum, and is considered the district forgotten by the gods. There is one temple located here, and it’s for Mortem and her children. The district itself is only active at night, and is where those who don’t follow Sciptmnes law live. It’s the unsafest district, crime is high here, and it’s home to those corrupted by evil. Inside Mortem’s temple there is a door that leads to Inferos, but it could only be opened by the keys held by the gods and their messengers. Beneath Malum is the underground city called Infra. Those who live in Malum go here during the day and continue to carry out their will.
The sixth district is Iustitia, the court district. Here is where justice is served. Various courthouses are spotted about the district along with jails. The main courthouse is called “The House of Iuris”, this is the courthouse of the gods. Important laws are passed here, and Sciptmnes is the judge of cases here while the other gods are the jury. The only time crimes are taken care of is if it’s a crime against Orbis and it’s people. Peace treaties between other realms are also signed here.
The seventh district is Sepulcrum. This area holds temples for the dead and is used as the final resting place for the Civium. There is one temple here and it’s for the God of the Deceased, Dux. Dux overlooks travel from the land of the living to the land of the dead. Family of those who passed leave offerings at the temple as payment for Dux to carry their lost ones to Inferos.
