my fish have not died i just cant see them right now

that is the same amount of fish that i put in

there are no less fish than there were a minute ago

detritus is not building up around the sides of my tank

the daphnia will do their thing

i do not need to add more daphnia the eggs will hatch and then i will have enough daphnia

the ecosystem will autobalance itself when the daphnia do their thing

my oxygen levels are not getting dangerously low

i do not have too many daphnia

the fish will eat the daphnia and then i will no longer have a daphnia problem

my fish are eating the daphnia

i do not need to add more bacteria

my ecosystem is perfectly balanced

daphnia do nothing but contribute to a wonderful ecosystem

i know how to balance an ecosystem

The site in question is called orb.farm.

This is a virtual ecosystem you can run on your browser where you simulate an underwater ecosystem. It's a random site I found and I have been staring at it for hours.

fish

plankton (They glow at night)

occasional decorations

but be warned, balancing the ecosystem isn't easy, and you could easily kill all life in the tank with a lethal amount of CO2 or O2. Very interesting indeed.

A wonderful in browser simulation game that lets you create a virtual underwater ecosystem where different species of creature can live, grow and die as part of a self-contained food chain.

I wrote recently about ‘Wind-Up worlds’. Orb.farm feels like one. 

But it seems to me that it would benefit from the addition of a ‘slow-social’ experience.
