I think that, even after joining the other Wild Wooders, the foxes tend to still occasionally hang out around human civilizations. They seem like they kinda just go where they please, and maybe they actually get some enjoyment observing humans. They also probably pick up quite a few human mannerisms, which absolutely confuses the other Wild Wooders to no end.

Yessss. I'm also throwing in the same hc as before in that their loyalty is absolutely up for grabs. Not in a personal way but just, y'know, if someone else offers them a better deal, they'll take it. And that means they mingle with the humans, keep a good (or at least, neutral) reputation among both humans and Riverbankers, and take whatever perks that brings. Even if that does mean they pick up some odlf humanity's priorities and odd ways (they like pocket watches, even though most animals don't keep track of time and associate rigid time-keeping with humans)

After all, their hunting pinks practically scream the motto "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em"

I don't know why in every Gail/Holly fanfic the writers have Holly get pregnant/give birth to their child. like... would Gail really give up at least 4 months of people constantly doting on her and making them do whatever she wants and making everyone fetch her things, bring her donuts and waiting on her hand and foot? no. the answer is no.
