my issue is that i quite like this episode. and i've enjoyed all the ones before it. in fact, now that things start to get under way and shit starts really tilting towards fucked up mafia stuff mixed with some fun shenanigans, the show really starts to shine. all except the fact that i'm still torn on the, if i'm being kind, dub-con, at the end of the ep.

but i'm going to just roll with the mafia fucked up shit vibes and just keep going because, w.e not watching this show for a lesson on morality lol.

this dinner! i love the clear color delineation.

the fact that vegas and pete are the only ones in black and they match. the show really wasn't being subtle.

i also really like the whole tone of the episode which was this kinn vegas power struggle dick fight over porsche, and i actually, despite the sex scene at the end, don't think either of them won. but i'll get back to that.

back to this.

firstly, gorgeously shot, the slowed op music and blurry edges and warm lighting really works.

(is it consensual? no. we're going to move on from that now.)

is this kinn winning porsche? i want to say no to that too. because he kisses porsche twice at the start and he looks disgusted. (likely because of the vomit mouth) but in terms of plot, i feel like this isn't the kiss that kinn was looking for.

kinn got that kiss already and couldn't accept it.

this is a failure on kinn's part, it's not a triumph.

it's a parallel to winning the diamond necklace with 100 mill baht, it's a pyrrhic victory and i think kinn knows that. and i think (hope) they get into that next ep.

also, not to turn porsche into a complete object in the tool of vegas and kinn's war here, but that's what the narrative does in this episode. porsche barely gets to speak when both kinn and vegas are in the same room, and certainly doesn't get any agency.
