“Remind me again,” she murmured, panting after every word that came out of her mouth. “Why did I agree on this trip?”

“Because you love me.”

Marchia threw him a feign offended look, earning her a loving eye roll from her husband.

“Ha! Nice try, Ramsey,” she returned, playfully pulling his coat. “But, as punishment for forcing me to go hiking, you have to take a selfie with me now.”

“And if I say no?”

“Impossible. You can never say no to me.”

At that, Ethan laughed in agreement, pulling her even closer in his embrace.

“Dare I ask why?”

The young blonde grinned, then she replied, “Because you love me.”

“Mam-mah!” baby Adeline cooed, tiny fingers pointing at the photo of her parents, displayed neatly on their coffee table. Then, her green eyes flicked upwards, as if she was confirming that it was indeed her mother inside that picture.

Marchia smiled at her second born; love and joy blossoming inside her chest. The candid photo, taken by her fellow dolphin Sienna, held a special place in her heart. A week after Ethan proposed to her, they went on an impromptu beach trip to celebrate.

“Pap-pah!” she squealed again, this time letting out her adorable giggle, earning a little peck on the cheek from her father.
