1. What is the worst TV show or movie you’ve ever seen?:Â
I once caught 2001: A Space Travesty on tv. Â It was unwatchable. Â I had to turn it off about five minutes in. Â Sorry, Leslie Nielsen.
2. If you could visit any period in history, where would you go?Â
I always seem to have different answers for this, I think last time I said 1840s Baltimore in order to catch a Poe poetry reading. Â This time I think I want to say Mount St. Helens in the late spring 1979, a year before the eruption made the area unrecognizable. Â The savage beauty of the area now is remarkable, but it looks like it might have been Arcadia before.
3. Who is your all-time favorite fictional character?
14 year old me is crying out to me to say Sakuya Kumashiro*, and you know what? I'm going to indulge her. Â That character was very important to me.
4. If you could have any animal as a pet (it would be totally domesticated and would not hurt you or others), what would you have?
This is a tough one. Â I'm torn between a fox and a deer. Â And part of the consideration is practical. Â A deer, and I have to worry about lyme disease. Â And a fox? Â I just don't want to deal with carnivore shit (figuratively and literally). Â I've sucked all the fun out of this haven't I?
5. What is the most random fact that you know?
I don't know if it's random but: a bolt of lightning is hotter than the surface of the sun. Â Why I remember this? Â After hearing it for the first time, it made me kind of want to be struck by lightning.
