Okay, I need to get something off my chest because I've been trying to sell my adoptables for a while now, and I keep running into the same wall: people are scared of Revolut. And I genuinely don't understand why.
I live in Croatia. Revolut is not some weird underground payment thing. It's a legitimate, regulated financial service used by millions of people across Europe. It's not a scam, it's not sketchy, and I'm not trying to trick anyone out of their money. If anything, it's been one of the few reliable ways for me to actually receive payments from outside my country. I've used it, it works, and I can send a simple payment link through DM. You don't even need the app. You can pay through the website and be done with it.
Meanwhile, I tried to make a PayPal today because I know a lot of people, especially Americans, feel more comfortable with PayPal. I thought it would make things easier for everyone. But the site wouldn't let me log into my account at all. I couldn't get in. I couldn't fix it. I couldn't even fully set it up the way I needed to. And that's frustrating because I'm trying to meet people halfway. I'm trying to use the platform people know and trust, but the platform itself is so stuck in an American-based system that the moment you're outside that bubble, it becomes ten times harder. PayPal is not the universal easy option for everyone. For people in some countries, it's just another wall.
I'm not saying this to be bitter. I'm saying it because I need people to understand that Revolut isn't the scary part here. The scary part is my family struggling to pay bills while I sit here trying to convince strangers that a legitimate payment service is legitimate.
I'm not asking for donations. I'm asking people to buy designs I've already made, at very low prices. Most of my adopts are between 1 and 10 euros. I also have an Eevee batch with individual designs priced between 3 and 10 euros each. I accept euros, which are preferred, but I also accept US dollars and Canadian dollars. The currency conversion happens on your end, and I'll send the payment link through Revolut.
That's it. That's the whole process.
Here's my adopt folder if you want to look: https://toyhou.se/lovely_lori/characters/folder:7781562
Every single sale goes toward helping my family. Even one euro helps. Even just looking at the folder and sharing it helps. I know everyone is struggling right now, and I know random adopt posts are easy to scroll past. But if you've ever been in a position where you're watching bills pile up and trying to sell your own creative work just to keep things afloat, then you know how humbling and exhausting this is.
I'm tired. I'm annoyed. I'm also grateful to the people who have already bought something or even just left kind words. That matters more than I can say.
So yes, this is a vent. Yes, this is a promo. The two are not mutually exclusive. I'm just a person trying to help my family, and Revolut is what I have access to. If you're interested in any of my adopts, DM me. If you're nervous about Revolut, ask me questions and I'll do my best to reassure you. If you can't buy right now, reblog or share. That alone helps more than you know.
Thank you for reading. Genuinely.
