“I don’t know why you’re so upset. It’s not like we were serious. I told you I didn’t want a relationship.” Daniel was being cruel but he could stop the words from falling from his mouth.  “If you ended up falling for me, that’s on you. Not me. I didn’t force your hand or do anything to make you have feelings. What we had was sex. Maybe I'd go as far as saying we were friends with benefits. But nothing more.”

“Oh come on, it is really not that serious.” Daniel said with an unreadable look on his face. “I think you’re taking it the wrong way and blowing it out of proportion. But that’s just my opinion.”

“It’s very cute that’s you’re trying to intimidate me.” Daniel laughed as the other pressed his finger against his chest. “You do not scare me...”

“Your friends think I’m weird, I’m not having fun, you’re uncomfortable...” His gaze has dropped to the other’s shoes. His own are shuffling nervously. “I’ll go and you can all talk about how much I s u c k and then I’ll come back tomorrow for the dish I brought the pasta in.” Maybe that had been his first mistake, bringing pesto to a party with teenagers.
