yeah it was the new one!! i was so sad because the screen was soooo dark i dunno whether my eyes have got dull or s/t haha

my sister just got one and i was really excited and they're actually no where near as good as i remember

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW RE-OPENED FOR VELVE ZINE

As you know, I'm starting a zine with the talented georgia gibson as a co-editor. I had previously anticipated a theme-less issue and received a lot of submissions from potential contributors, however, I have had to re-direct the project to ensure its future. I've decided on self//love as the theme for the first issue we will be accepting any interpretations in the form of:

illustrations

prose

poetry

fine art pieces (film/performance/drawing/painting/sculpture/mixed media)

reviews

other (whatever your crazy lil mind can think of)

Regular monthly posts will include an Artist interview to put a creative genius in the spotlight. The Artist will be chosen in correspondence with the month's theme. So if you think your work is heavily related to self love be sure to submit some work and post a link to an archive of work. 

I've set up an email where myself and georgia can receive your submissions: [email protected] simply attach the files you wish to submit (as many as you wish) and provide your name, age, and titles/information about the piece(s). 

NOTE: the pieces previously submitted will have to be re-emailed to the new address if you still wish to contribute.

i have a friend like that too! i remember once we were at a gig and a woman was having a big panic because she thought my friend was in a really bad place but she was actually just having a really good time so yeah you are absolutely right
