ooo.... you will get into my hyperfixation ......
ooooo.......
"If you even think about looking into those reserve course deaths, you're going to wish you ended up like them." (This isn't him yelling so much as threatening but it invaded my mind)
When there was not much else to do, Shuichi would sometimes find himself reading over case files of a past murder case. Even if he was not personally involved in them at all, it was interesting to read about infamous cases... especially ones that just seemed... off. One notable example being; the Twilight Syndrome Murder Case.
He didn't know if it was his detective's instinct gnawing at him, but when he learned about the case for the first time, something didn't feel right to him. A case that involved the death of two girls from the reserve course... yet it sounded like it was wrapped up too quickly? As if the school was either trying to quickly sweep it under the rug, as to not tarnish its reputation... or if it was trying to hide something.
Not that Shuichi would be too surprised either way if that was the case... such an elitist school like this, probably would be desperate to quickly sweep up any bad incidents that happen there, for the sake of their reputation.
While he knows that there isn’t exactly anything he can really do, Shuichi still wanted to look more into the case, to see if there really was more truth to it, then what the school officially provides. As he was about to make his way to the library, to hopefully find wherever they would keep documents of the case in its archives section... Fuyuhiko approaching makes him stop in place. Normally the yakuza wouldn’t approach him like that, so he already had a bad feeling about this... which would prove to be true when Fuyuhiko said that threatening statement.
"....Huh...?" Shuichi couldn’t help but stare in shock, not expecting that at all. And the way he said it, without the usual yelling or exaggeration to try intimidating him... did he actually mean it? Because if so... it made a shiver go up his spine. “H...How did you...?”
How did you know, he wanted to ask. In regards to how Fuyuhiko knew Shuichi was going to try looking into those deaths. Maybe he secretly caught him learning about the case the first time on his laptop, or overheard him thinking out loud when he thought he was alone; Shuichi had a tendency to do that whenever he was deep in thought at times... either way, he definitely wasn’t going to try and play dumb, and he knew far better than to not purposely anger him. But it still had to make him wonder... why did Fuyuhiko not want him to look into it? That alone told him: there must be something in those files he didn’t want Shuichi to see. Even if he was really nervous... he tried to keep a calm demeanor as he explains:
“I was just... curious to learn more about it, was all. When learning about it through the information the school publicly provided... something just felt off to me. I don’t know why... and that’s why I just wanted to see if I would find anything if I could read the case files regarding it. Is that.. a problem? I am not trying to cause any trouble...”
