ajak does not surrender to any feelings of surprise in finding druig here. not only because she had made it her duty to watch over them from afar but because of who she knows him to be. she would like to believe, despite centuries of parted path ‘neath their belts, that they are all still familiar entities to her bared soul. in fact, * she thinks she sees more now than her past self could ever have fooled herself into seeing. it is both a logical and primal piece of knowledge she carries. to remember him in all of his stages but to understand that she has not had the privilege of knowing who has become through the passages of time. a fault of her own. as she treks deeper into the forested green, comes to see the village of people he lives among, ajak inhales the terms of this acknowledgement and exhales any expectations away on the breeze.
❝ @druisg - ❞ what will he make of her now? she looks less like the prime he had last laid eyes on and more like a woman who is putting her life back together piece by piece, year by passing year. he has no reason to allow her stay. she emptied her lungs, but not of hope, never of hope. ❝ it has been too long, wouldn’t you agree? ❞
