THESE LEGS HAVE SLAIN ALL MANNERS OF BEINGS BEFORE. As long as they were digitized, they’d usually meet their end in spectacular bursts of pixelated agony. That’s exactly the problem though: they were always digital. Don’t misunderstand. Meltryllis is the prima ballerina of the battlefield no matter her circumstances. Being a weapon of destruction, she has no doubt in her core that she can cut through anything and everything -- real or not. In fact, one could even say she derives pleasure from it, and proudly at that.
...Still, the massacre of human beings in the flesh is not something she's experienced. She does not fear it, for she does not understand such feelings and has played Sentinel to the most Devilish Bodhisattva before, but she has not encountered it. Oni -- they’re supposed to be man-eating legends of lore. She’s heard of them in stories, and though that false nun is a man-eater in a metaphorical sense, this is a real one.
The horns, the fangs, everything about this being feels complete. Only, she didn’t expect her to be so... small, and feminine.
“They say that alcohol has adverse effects on the human body. It makes them slow, delirious, and unintelligible. Used strategically, I hear it can even serve as a truth serum.” Oddly, Meltryllis does not feel an immediate repulsion. Is it because she’s not human that she doesn’t despise her? “Does it affect your kind the same way? Because I don’t think it would affect me that way.”
