It had felt like they had been stuck under the security of the tree for quite some time. She had thought the rain would have let up by now so that they could make their way back to the village, but it did not seem like it was going to stop any time soon. There was a lot on her mind, but she was drawn out of her thoughts at the gentleness in which her hand had been grabbed. Her gaze drifted down to their hands, her cheeks flushing a rosy color as she lifted her gaze to look at him. For a moment, she didn't say anything, a small smile etching across her features — there was part of her that worried speaking would break the moment.

Protests fallen on deaf ears, an attempt to convince Kakashi to allow him to stay and watch the fights that would follow suit. Weakened, barely able to keep himself up right from depletion of his chakra, Sasuke was merely lucky to be conscious if not for the offer of his sensei's knee against his back.

Fingertips warm against his back, inscribing in blood a seal of protection against the curse mark that ran rampant and only held back by a sheer force of will and determination. Luck would have said differently - he had been exceptionally lucky to still be alive when most have succumbed. If something happens like you not believing in your own strength, and that will were to weaken, the Curse Mark will once again start to rag.; words Sasuke could barely comprehend before his vision blurred and darkness overtook him.

In the midst of sleep, he could sense another chakra signature that belonged to neither him or Kakashi. A voice he only encountered in a brief moment before the curse bestowed upon his shoulder - and try as he may to wake himself up to confront the danger, his body heavy with fatigue refused his wishes.

Electricity filled the air, ear piercing and threatening to whomever dared step close. Sasuke has known Kakashi to put himself between them and whatever danger lies beyond, as seen in their confrontations with the Demon from the Mist village, but this.. felt different than that.

Sleep was a luxury Sasuke could barely afford. So many nights left tossing and turning with agony spewed on his tongue, waking in cold sweat, sharingan activated without his permission. It wasn't uncommon for the kid to go without sleep, too frightened by his own thoughts to dare drift back into what was meant to be a comfort.

Leaning against the railings of his balcony, watching the sky illuminate itself in brilliant oranges and pinks, sun barely above the horizon as birdsong filled the air, beckoning all to wake and embrace the new day. Never did he need to turn to confirm his suspicion of Kakashi being close, his chakra signature was too obvious and grand to be ignored. Suppose Sasuke should feel thankful that Kakashi cared enough to come to check up on him, not that the Genin ever asked for such.

     Swat the hand away. Sensei should know better than to touch his hair. Though, admittedly--

   Patience may be a virtue, but even the holiest of ethics has a maximum. ‘ FOR HE’S A JOLLY GOOD FELLOW ! ’ has been chanted, what, five - maybe TEN - times by the obnoxious group at table three; some kind of bachelor party no doubt, yet they extend their invitation to the entire TAVERN known as : 空所 : ‘VOID’ in the english language. And boy, did Hidan wish the bar lived up to its name instead of being filled to capacity with loathsome halfwits. He wasn’t sure what was worse, when the adolescents sung as a choir, or when one would take the makeshift stage and try their luck at the bar’s karaoke machine.  

    There was no surefire way to drown out the drunken carols, but oh, did the Reaper try. His intentions here were to DECOMPRESS while several Jashinist offerings DECOMPOSE somewhere in the valleys of the Land of Fire, but trying to unwind while in the presence of a group so bothersome was nearly impossible. 

   He’s prepared to show what the human embodiment of HATRED is as he grips his fifth old fashioned cocktail and pinches his brows. If only his ears could shut the same way his eyes did, then there would be no need to grit an outward plea of vexation:
