Onsloow is a four-piece band that hails from the ‘burbs of Trondheim, Norway, and together, they are reimagining indie rock as a sound also swathed in emo, dream-pop, post-rock, and punk-pop with vocalist and guitarist Johanne Rimul leading the way in a manner that commands emotion with the velocity of Makthaverskan’s Maja Milner and the neon cool of Charli Bliss’ Eva Hendricks, as a rush behind her is from guitarist Mathias Nylenna, bassist Lasse Berg, and drummer Morten Samdal.

This Friday, they’ll be releasing their self-titled debut album on the stateside label Friend Club Records and in their native Norway on How Is Annie Records. Following early highlights in “A Good Day to Forget”, “Overthinking”, and “Being With You”, they’re ready to deliver on all fronts with one last preview and music video for the track “Unstoppable”, a surging build of self-belief with no room or fucks given for comparison. “Staying inside / Killing time / With no fear of missing out / What kind of loser am I? / And I’ll somehow I’ll put it off,” Rimul sings.
