In September of 2021, on the first of so far an annual trip to North Carolina to the #OnSetCinema @myershousenc #TMNT #Farmhouse event, @doublebassbenjamin and a couple of our NC TMNT friends took us onnam extendedntour to a handful of #TMNT1990 filming locations in Wilmington including "Channel 3" , Cheif Stern's station, April's mugging location, and the stand in for the Central Park meeting between Casey and Raphael.. this peir over a body of water and building were the filming local of a cut scene from the film where the Turtles' shells float to the surface of the water in the harbor. I a not sure I recall the context of the deleted shot, but it DOES appear partly in one of the original teaser trailers for the movie. I only have a handful shots of Roger @5plinters5th5on , the ones from this particular trip will be the most prominent. Not really feeling the holiday this year ( do i ever, really ) - this last quarter been so dark. Gonna be hard going into 2023 without your light, old pal. Something appears fleetingly and briefly in the #TMNT #1990 film: during the " #AprilONeil's Farmhouse" scene, once Raphael has healed from his injuries and the brothers are training out in the fields past the main house, a small ' #HobbitHouse ' shows barely in the back of a couple of shots. This little, spooky shack is still standing. I took very short visit to the shack site as we were preparing to leave over the past weekend with the @myershousenc #OnSetCinema TMNT movie event - it's as creepy and amazing as I could expect and well over 100 years old. Join ON SET CINEMA and the world's most fearsome fighting team on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Currie, North Carolina for a very special screening event of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at April O'Neil's farmhouse! Oh yeah ...they're heroes in a half-shell and they're green! This is the location where the Turtles, April and Casey Jones retreat after The Foot raid April's apartment and almost kill Raphael. Fans will get a complete guided tour of the property, as well as a tour of the inside of the house - you'll be able to check out the barn where Casey and Donatello hang out and work on the truck, go inside the bathroom where Raphael rejuvenates in the tub, sit on the porch where April and Casey flirt/bicker or roam the backyard where Leonardo meditates. I'll be showing the movie outside, directly in front of the farmhouse. There will be a pizza food truck and the TMNT soundtracks will be blaring! ...Ninja! Ninja! Rap! A limited amount of fans will have the opportunity to camp out overnight on the property in the grove of trees where the Turtles train and summon Splinter! We can all hang out and roast marshmallows around the campfire. It's going to be a blast!
