His mission was a simple one, and a welcome break from the war effort. Playing Jedi Protector reminded him of the old days, of when the Jedi’s role was firmly rooted in diplomacyand peace.

Not that he could relax, accompanying Luken along a potentially dangerous route famed for pirate exploits. Luken didn’t appear to come alone, however, accompanied by a young woman who he was offered little introduction to. Yet, now he catches her alone gazing out to the stars as the ship breaks atmosphere and they leave the planet behind. It grows smaller, almost insignificant as they gain speed and distance.

❛ If I had to guess I would say you have never travelled off-planet before, ❜ it was as good an introduction as any to break the silence. ❛ Beautiful, isn’t it? I remember the first time I left Coruscant – reading that there was a whole universe beyond the planet was one thing, seeing it was quite another. ❜

Nithe women weren’t allowed to be alone. It was dangerous, it put themselves and everyone around them at risk, should they lose control of their pheromones. She’d been assigned to be Luken’s ward, and she would go with him wherever he went.

Especially if it meant off planet. Ruby could not pry herself from the windows and viewports, watching as the blue atmospheric sky of Nithe gave way to the blackness of space, dotted with thousands and thousands of stars. And there, miles and miles below her, was Nithe itself, her entire world up until now, and getting further and further away. She never wanted to go back.

A voice coaxed him awake, echoing through the long hall. He groaned, lifting a hand to the thumping pain which dominated the back of his head. Cursing silently when his fingers drew back painted red.

❛ Yes, hello? Can you hear me? ❜ he called back, trying to piece together what had just happened and make sense of it.

           NOT  ABLE  TO  KEEP  HERSELF  from  rushing  to  the  site  of  the  explosion,  even  if  everyone  else  fled  away,  the  young  woman  hoped  to  help.    If  anyone  was  injured,  it  would  be  quite  a  while  before  anyone  else  might  turn  up.    A  wonderful  benefit  of  living  on  this  backward  planet.

“Just ignore them. They’re  drunk enough to wrestle a door this time of the day.” Marcus pointed out as he was wiping of  a glass. It seemed like the later it got the more headache inducing the whole bar got.... And he still had quite a few hours left to work.

↱ BEING LOST WITH OBI-WAN

❛ Have you any idea where we are? ❜ the man pondered over their surroundings again, the oppressive heat of the humid planet beading sweat upon his brow.Countless times he had wiped the back of his hand across his face and the back of his neck to little avail. ❛ At least a chart or something would be helpful, it feels as though we have been trekking through this jungle for days without so much as a significant landmark to guide the way. ❜

     the presence of troopers sets ezra on edge.  they don’t LOOK quite like stormtroopers--the armour, while mostly the same, looks a little different in the helmet--but the similarity is so much there that it sends every inch of ezra’s body to PANIC.  looks like, wherever the purrgil had taken him, it was still under the thumb of the empire.

     at least it was in his known galaxy.

     ezra uses the force to SENSE HIS WAY THROUGH THE AREA.  it’s not that he can’t see--he can--it’s that it’ll help alert him to anything his physical senses may not.  he watched kanan long enough to get an idea of how it worked.

     but as he ducks past the CLONE STORMTROOPERS he swears he sees a man who looks like master kenobi.  but that can’t be right--master kenobi is on tatooine, && is much older than the man that ezra could sidle up to, && swipe things off of said man’s belt.

Although it had been fun at first letting the young boy drag him by the arm towards some ‘surprise’, around ten minutes had passed since Luke had first pawed at his arm and now Obi-Wan was growing worried about getting back to work before his absence was noted.

❛ Are we getting close? ❜ he asked his determined son, stooping his shoulders to bring arm closer to Luke’s height. It was starting to cramp his upper back, but the boy always came first over such things. ❛ Can I act least get a hint as to what the surprise is? ❜

For a moment, Luke looked to his father in silent disbelief, as if he was unable to fathom why Obi-Wan would ask him such a thing.  ❝If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise.❞  With that, the corners of the boy’s lips pulled up, his smile radiating warmth as he pushed on ahead with his master in tow, weaving through the hustle of Coruscant’s noonday throng.
