Me: (Wakes up to phone ringing at 10:45am, thinking it is my alarm going off for my 1:00pm final)

*ring* *ring*

Me: (looks at phone, realize it is friend Paul from class, maybe he wants to study for the final at 1:00?)

Me: Hello?

Paul: Hey Man, are you ready for the final?

Me: I guess so, I studied for a long time last night, and I feel like I know most of the stuff. Why? Did you want to study some more?

Paul: No dude, I can't study right now

Me: So you want to study later?

Paul: No, you don't get it, the final is right now.

Me: (My blood runs cold) Are you kidding me right now?

Paul: No

Me: Are you being serious right now Paul? This is not funny!

Paul: No, I am in class right now, the final started at 10:30 (it is currently 10:45). Where are you?

Me: I am still in bed! Are you kidding me?!?! (I still do not beleive him)

Paul: You are still in bed? (I hear the class roar with laughter in the background. NOW I beleive him)

Me: You are serious.......I will be there in 10 minutes

Off to a good start here at college, only 30 minutes late for my first final. Show up sweaty from run uphill from dorm, no shower, hair not brushed, out of breath. Class gives me a round of applause as I sit down, now 35 minutes late for a 2 hour final. You could have flash cooked a steak on my red and embarrased face.
