OMG this is a great example of how much difference the music makes- above is the last minute of Jordyn and Noah's FD filmed by oniceperspectives with the clear music track, and then the same thing from yesterday's stream from JGP Riga - just no comparison-
this program has such an exciting build starting with the twizzles, it's SO good- and you can't tell at all from the RIga clip.
At the Quebec comp last month (starts at 2:00:00) the music also didn't register in the arena so much, the sound was really muddy - it's better on the linked video than it was live, so I'm wondering if the judges also aren't getting the full impact of this program and scoring them lower than they really deserve. They could use a good sound engineer to remix this so it comes across on rink speakers- there's a lot of percussion in the most exciting parts which just sounds like noise in the arena and on yesterday's stream.
they switched the order of the elements between Quebec and Riga - in August, it was spin, Curve Lift, One foot, Diagonal, then Stationary Lift.
But yesterday was St Lift, Curve Lift, One foot, Diagonal, then spin. And they changed the ending, no assisted jump for him, and different end pose. the spin takes so much longer than the StLi that where the other elements land on the music changed too
I hope they do something about the mix, because they've created something too good to get lost because of tech issues

Three years ago today I made my first trip to the @iceacademyofmontreal, and the first video I posted was @oliviasmartx and @adriandiazbronchud training the Tango Romantica, the 2018-19 season’s Pattern Dance… So it’s only fitting that on my first trip back to Montreal this year, I get to share this clip of Olivia and Adrian training this season’s Pattern Dance, the Midnight Blues! The theme for Rhythm Dance this year is “Street Dance”, with official rulebook examples ranging from blues to reggae, jazz to funk, and even hip-pop, popping and krump.
