The list that I commit to do–at least one of the item–everyday to keep my soul happy:

Create something I always feel happy when I create a thing. One thing that I love, doesn’t matter if it small or big: Code, design, write article or poem. 

Do one things that scares me  It has something to do with adrenaline. I will found out the reason why do I feel happy whenever I did things that scares me and overcome the fear.

Try something new At least new pathway to home. New food. To trick the brain that we did different thing today.

One small achievement Create “to do” or check list everyday. Mark the list done at the end of the day, at least to make me feel that I’m doing doing progress in that day.

Feed the brain with something new. New knowledge from book or documentary movie.

Eat delicious and good food: Don’t skip meals!  I always love to eat fruit and drink fresh juices. A cup of juice every day makes my body feels good.

Workout Exercise doing physical activities.

Delete or eliminate negative things that come into me Everyday, at the end of the day I have to make sure that I delete negative thoughts that come from inside me or from other people. Clean “the trash” before bed time. 

Be Grateful, forgive myself I’m not perfect. Failure is the clue that will show me the way to success.

Help other  Family come first! I always happy to see my family is alright. Then help other people and stranger. 

Currently I don’t feel happy at work. I don’t feel like I’m challenged to do the work, I don’t feel I get something new for my brain, for myself. I feel bored. Its hard for me to get up from bed in the morning.

The reason this blog is up again because I want to make sure that I did one of the things above. To keep my soul happy. To motivate me to reach my big goal. 

The list above is the things that I know that will make me happy whenever I did it.

(Day 10)

Have you ever looked at Everest and wondered “Man, wouldn’t it be cool to do that?”

...and then you found out that it’s way more freaking difficult than you ever imagined and that you have a 1/60 chance of dying while trying to make it to the top?

Well that’s kind of how my relationship with climbing is.

In theory, I would love to be able to do it, and technically it’s something I could be quite decent at.

But in practice? That’s a whole other story.

So today I decided to tackle my Everest and take the first step to get into climbing.

(Day 9)

I’ve always been the last one in the pool.

 The friend who hesitates at the edge until she’s sure that everyone else has gotten in safely and there is really and truly no danger.  Or the friend that hesitates at the top of the diving board, re-evaluating her decision to really truly jump off this slightly insane height.

But once I finally decide to do it, I leap.

(Day 6 of One thing every day)

I am a nerd. 

I fully admit to this. 

From an early age, I’ve always loveddoing well at school and eventually I just made it a part of me.  It’s hilarious because in recent years I feel like I’ve changed so much from being the shy girl in class that sometimes it doesn’t show as much as it used to (I might be wrong).  Anyways, you would think that a science loving nerd chica like myself would jump at the chance to present my recent lab findings in front of other bright like-minded people in the form of a poster session.  This is not the case.  I am terrified of this.  

(Day 4)

As you might already know, I love yoga. 

 But yoga and I have an interestingrelationship. 

 It’s a wonderfully easy relationship where we both feel completely at ease with each other, growing, learning and sweating together. 

However, as wonderful as our relationship is, it’s often existed as a series of short, passionate summer flings.  I’ll see yoga every day throughout the summer months, then silence as autumn and responsibilities set in.  As much as I loved it, I simply never make enough time.

(Day 2)

So we just watched The Imitation Game (which I would highly recommend), and I think that’s a pretty good intro to this next challenge.

You know that part where they’re in a room trying to figure out the codes and use clues to basically win a war?  Yea, well that’s what we’ll be doing.  My amazing visiting aussie friend found this super cool thing called Smartypantz in gastown that basically has a bunch of rooms with different scenarios where you have an hour to figure out all the clues so that you can get out.  The scenarios range from being stuck in a submarine, getting murdered by a cannibalistic psychopath, to being in a paranormal activity house (are you kidding me??). 

I don’t know what could be scarier. 

This lovely person has to tell me one good thing about her every day until she starts believing she's the awesome, fantastic and caring person I'm telling you all she is. This is what we've got so far:

Driven person when the time/situation needs her to be.

She has been told she has pretty eyes, and we both agree. ([…]Dark olive green with little bits of gold in them[…])

She’s very stubborn and a very faithful person when it comes her family and close friends.

She cooks like “no one’s mother"

She's becoming more comfortable with herself instead of being so insecure.

If given a task, she will keep trying to do it right, until it is done so.

She can adapt to a situation if the need arises.

She has long legs. And they look especially nice in a skirt or a dress.

She just got her hair cut before she went off to NIU. And she loves it! (Seriously, her hair is so pretty and perfect I can't even) It makes her feel really good about herself.

She's an emotional person and can empathize with a person easily.

She's a great listener, but rarely can give advice. ("[...]I’m not good at it, unless I truly understand[...]")

She's really passionate about music. ("[...]Not playing it or making it, but just listening to it. I really love finding the different chords and vocals that most people don’t listen for.[...]")

She has one of the most amazing superpowers ever: She can fit tons of stuff into a small bag, that's why she's called The Sorceress and a invaluable person to go to the movies with.

She's learning tostep up and ask for help when she needs it.

She's learning to talk about things that bother her to her family and not hold them in

She's really good at organizing things. ([...]I can organize stuff in a room very well, but it won’t stay like that because I can be pretty messy also :D [...])

"I am 5’10”. So reeaaallly tall and I love it :)"

Her confidence in herself has gotten so much better that she feel really, really good about herself. 

She's very sociable!

She's been feeling stronger and more sure of herself everyday from experiencing the things life has thrown at her. "It's been a little bumpy, but I have made it through!"
