He wasn’t sure how she was going to react. She was either going to be totally furious, or completely enthralled that he was home. He quickly found out the answer. It was definitely furious. While he definitely deserved that, he needed to explain. “I’m sorry,” he murmured softly. He almost reached out to her, but he wasn’t sure if she would let him. “It would have compromised the entire mission. I couldn’t risk reaching out and blowing the whole operation. I couldn’t put all those guys in danger.” If it had been just him, he would have done it with no second thought on his own life. But, when there were others concerned, he didn’t want to take the chance. 

After they ate breakfast, Stephen had spent the morning and part of the afternoon learning new spells and had decided to take a break. They had meditated for a little while and then they drank some tea. Now, they is happily dancing in the Sanctum.

"You need this. I shouldn't have put it off for your mission and we won't be making that mistake again, but as of right now, we're going to take care of your needs. You have fifteen minutes to get to room 320F and kneel for me. Understood?" It was one of the reservable training rooms, with padded flooring and an adjustable weight bench, and it worked remarkably well for their purposes.

Eddie glanced up at the plant, then down at the woman. She seemed small, but he was pretty sure she could kick his ass if she wanted, Venom or no Venom. He held up both hands, palms out, and stepped back from under the mistletoe. He wasn’t going to try to steal a kiss from her of all people. 

Steve Rogers did not regret many things in his life. He had messed up a few times in his life, but nothing major. He felt like this might have been one of those times where he fucked up. Not asking Natasha to be is girlfriend was on the top of his list. Things were just so good and easy between them. He did not want to do anything that might jeopardize them. Of course, Steve always knew that if he didn't act then things would eventually change. They weren't anything serious or in any type of relationship. Then Bucky came back into his life and things spiraled from there. Sure, him and Buck were in a relationship but that did not change how he felt about Natasha. He actually expected all those urges and feelings to go away but they didn't. Was it possible to have feelings for two different people? Steve knew it was wrong, but there was just something so undeniably addictive about the redhead. She just had something that Steve craved and needed. Steve couldn't help himself. "I know, Nat, believe me I know. There is just something about you that Bucky doesn't have. Besides, we never really had a one more time." Could Steve even do just one more time? He wasn't even sure at this point. "I just want you. Right now. But if you don't want that, I will get out of your hair."

Wade was worried. Having followed a trail of blood and finding someone he cared about at the end of it, what even were the odds of that? Not to mention, Natasha didn’t look to well. “Okay, something about head,” Wade tried his best not to look confused. He never learned Russian and couldn’t understand what she was saying, but he gets points for trying, right? With a gentle touch he brushed strands of hair away from her face and searched into her eyes. “You were bleeding pretty bad, where did they get you? Are they still around? I’ll get you out of here - don’t worry.” There were probably too many questions at once, but he needed to know where she was hurt before he lifted her up - and more so if the bad guys were still around. He wouldn’t mind ending the ones that had hurt her... 

“A woman like you can turn a head quite easily.” Ares chuckled below his breath. ‘Snapping a neck does quite the same thing...” He looked up to Natasha as he strolled forward to her. “Hello love.”  @oneoftxentyeight
