       Dress Uniform hat tucked against his side, the man began to lose his collar upon being free. NCIS really tried hard this time, but evidence revealed the truth; God bless decades of the Teams learning how to cover their ass. Photographic evidence revealed the target was not beaten while in custody of his Team. This time around though Court was half-interesting because of his lawyer. ‘ Well, you are a busy one. It’s a good thing I didn’t law, I’d be bored being inside all day.’ 

Felicity had been having a good day so far. There had been no episodes of madness, so she and laurel had gone shopping for clothes (mostly Sophie) and things for the baby that she was still carrying. Her anxieties were elevated when they returned home, because Oliver had shockingly allowed Sophie to stay with Barry for a few hours...but still not enough to trigger flashbacks or the madness that threatened to surface.

"I-I know Oliver was trying to help when he called Caitlin...but I've been broken for so long. I don't think anyone can fix me."

Looking down at her belly after taking a sip of her tea, Felicity sighed and rested a hand in the spot where the baby had moved. " You know. After the whole thing with Nora, you would have thought that Barry would be happy about this little one...but...he wasnt. I know its because I'm not Iris, so maybe it's for the best that he went back to her. "

The idea of him leaving her still hurt, but she wanted him to be happy, even if that meant that meant that he wasn't with her.

"I don't need help. I help people. You called because you know that." He bristled, raising his glass to his lips. 

"You'd be surprised what you can get done in a courtroom if you don't mind a little perjury." Nate sipped at his drink, finally relaxed enough to smile, if only a little. 

She sensed the other woman’s presence before she saw her. Tensing just a little as she remembered their first encounter vividly... trying to protect the men on her boat from the siren’s song had been a tough job for sure but knowing that she was the first pirate to successfully cross her domain must have been tough on the woman. She could only guess that was why she was here anyway.

“I can imagine.” Laurel wasn’t going to pretend like she could understand what Kara was going through. Yes, she had made a family here but that didn’t replace the one that she had lost or the home she had been sent from. For all that Laurel had lost, she at least still had the planet she called home. “I know it doesn’t replace anything but I am always here if you need to talk or dance or whatever it is that you want to do. Especially eating. I am a firm believer that ice cream helps with anything.”

     “Please,” he rolls his eyes, turning ever so slightly away, “spare me the theatrics. Everyone carries pain. Yours doesn’t make you special.”
