This is my biggest FB post from that year in review thing (which is a true story)
After work tonight I was approached by a man who would best be described as a vagabond in a tattered floral shirt with threadbare hair looking for a ride to New Bern or as far as he could get, after a few minutes of listening to him talk I decided to take him the whole way. This was one of the BEST things I could of ever done. The mans stories about the towns and people that he has come across of ...the past thirty years of crisscrossing the US, were amazing and the things he has seen remain and change in the world was awesome. I found myself driving slower so I could get more stories from him. What I learned from all of this? People with stories are becoming harder to find and when you do you better take a seat and listen, that maybe best things to own and hold on to are what we carry inside of us. I said goodbye and gave him some money and a shirt, he said thanks, and asked my name and wrote it down in a note pad saying that it was his good karma book, I feel very lucky to have of experienced that. Safe travels wherever you are.
