Surgical pathology: This is the primary area of practice for an anatomical pathologist. It involves a microscopic examination of surgical specimens and biopsies given by surgeons and non surgeons.
II.Clinical Pathology: The diagnosis of the disease is based on laboratory analysis of body fluids such as blood and urine
Hematopathology: A study of disease of blood cells, tissues and organs comprising the hemopoietic system
Immunopathology: Deals with an organism’s immune response to a certain disease.
Molecular pathology: Diagnoses of disease through examination of molecules within organs, tissues or body fluids
Oral and maxillofacial pathology: Disease is diagnosed through cell smears, and other tissue analysis.
