For the vampire AU>:3//
"My lord, the sun sets...will you be making your way to the outside world, tonight?"
His gaze does not rise from the yellowed pages of his book. Old and worn by time, it is still cared for and often read when his mind needs calm. He feels the night approaching, always humming against his pale skin. Something he had gotten used to over the centuries of being a creature of the night. Slowly, he closes the book and places it on the desk. Green serpentine hues were focused on the leather before he rose onto his booted feet. Masamune, a sword he so lovingly took care of, was not at his side. Instead, it was leaning against a bookcase where it gleamed under the soft candlelight.
"Yes." He replies softly, his gaze lifting to hers. The new blade that he had acquired only recently was similar to, yet not his most treasured weapon. She was new and powerful, and she would do what needed to be done. "I must feed this night, it seems. The hunger is ever persistent."
Oh, how he hated the ache in his teeth. The ravenous hunger in his belly. The call of sweet blood to his very soul. He rounds the desk, approaching her on light steps. He stops beside her, his gaze sliding to her form. "Come. There are preparations to be done." With that, he walks out of the room, his long cape billowing behind him into the soft, candlelit hallway.
