Ingall hugged Shakko, “Oh, I’m if you tired to write all the reasons down you’d be writing for days, possibly even weeks. But if you get down to the root of it all, I think Kuko is terrified. There are so many things that happened, happen, and could happen that are outside of his control, so if he closes off and only relies on himself, then the only thing that can hurt him is himself. Which is much, much easier than opening up.”
Shakko just groan/growled at that "An' I wouldn' care if he just hurt himself but he don't." he ran his hand through his hair "Ya weren't here for the last time but it was bad. Real bad. An,' an' mom just forgave him! We forgave him!" he gave Ingall a piercing look "How'm I supposed to trust him not ta do it again? Ta not hurt mom or you?
