Hmm. I think, overall, yes.

Right now my favorite canon muse is definitely Menenius, and I very much enjoyed his parts in the Save The Queen storyline. He was calculating and manipulative, and he knew it too. There was a very good reason why he was the one that Noah would consult in the war room, as well as a very good reason why he was the one in charge of recruiting and overseeing the spy network. But there were also little details or hints in the things he said or gestures he made that made it seem like he wasn’t entirely a terrible person, if that makes sense?

In no way do I excuse the things he did. But there’s more to him than just a defecting war criminal, and that’s what I love about him. All of the characters, on both sides, in the Bozja storyline are complex, and he's no exception. For example off the top of my head, in his backup plan for the Dalriada’s fate, he cared enough about his troops to evacuate them before blowing the flagship up -- and himself and the Diablo Armament with it. Not to mention his chemistry with Lyon was phenomenal, and I love that Lyon was able to verbally disarm him on multiple occasions(while also calling him out on his bullshit).

There's also the fact that he was willing to become a traitor to his own homeland in the name of supporting Noah's cause, because he also believed in the Gabranth family's dream of a new nation, where everyone was equal regardless of circumstances. He wouldn't be there, fighting against the Bozjan resistance to hold the line in Bozja and Zadnor, if he didn't believe in it, nor would he be willing to die for the cause.

She’d never be so careless to drop any of her own belongings -- much less any of her small clothes. Who knows what some of her clients would do. Regardless, the courtesan stops and turns to look at the young man, frowning as she watches him stumble over himself before... Just tossing the clothes at her. It’s a hasty sidestep that so very narrowly saves her from getting smacked square in the face by someone else’s undergarments. Rude.

Her hands were on him, a blueish aura coming from her hands surrounding his stomach, where liquid red was coming out. Her hands were shaking but she didn’t know if it were because of her exhaustion or because how scared she is to lose someone important to her. 

The Final Days, the cataclysm that was happening right now was laying waste to all their hard work, to all they built, to friends, to families, to love ones. She has seen the bodies, her people running away from the monsters, scared for their lives. She has seen it all, she has fought the monsters, tried to save as many lives she could.

She wasn’t Azem anymore, they got rid of her title the moment the blonde refused to join in the summoning of Zodiark. Panacea was against sacrificing the life of her beloved people, even if they were willing to do so, their souls wouldn’t go back to the lifestream but instead would be fuelling the summon. It wasn’t right, it didn’t feel right, not matter how much she tried to convince them, they didn’t see it that way and only saw her as a traitor of their kind. 

No, she loves this star as much as the others, she wants to protect it as much as the Convocation but sacrificing her people? No, she wouldn’t go that far, not matter how much it could save their world.

She wasn’t anymore, then why he, of all people, had to get hurt trying to protect her? He could have been doing something else, like protecting the Convocation, she wasn’t part of it, she wasn’t important anymore. In fact, she is nothing more than a traitor in the eyes of their people, not that she cares, she still has a duty, even without her title.

“You silly, silly man!” Shaking her head after finishing her healing, Panacea lays her on his cheek, even if he didn’t react to it as he was unconscious. Good, that way he doesn’t notice her hand shaking “You could have been doing something else, protect the Convocation or even our people but no, you had to get hurt protecting me, even if I’m nothing anymore”

Panacea still has a duty, even if she wanted to stay, she needed to continue fighting, save as many people as she could, even if it killed her. Looking at him with sad eyes, she gave him a kiss on his forehead and prayed for his safety. She is gonna leave him somewhere safe, where monsters wouldn’t think in catching while he was unconscious. It was gonna be the last time she'll see him and they couldn’t properly say goodbye.

“What?” Panacea turned to look at the man behind her, taken aback from his sudden appearance or maybe she was too distracted to notice him. Raising her eyebrow in question but not receiving any response back, her green eyes began to look down to where Kratos was looking and saw red dots on the floor and the direction she was walking from.

“Oh, my hand is bleeding...” She mentions so nonchalant, like it was nothing. In fact, she didn’t feel the moment she hurt herself, as she has a high pain tolerance until someone points out she was bleeding, like right now. The healers would usually lecture her to actually take care of herself, as she couldn’t feel pain normally as the others.

Grabbing the sleeve with her other hand to check, Azem discovered that it wasn’t her hand but her arm as whole.

“Oh, how did that happen?” She didn’t need to be genie to know Kratos was close to drag her to see the healers, so she raised her hand to where her injury was and a blueish aura surrounded her hand and arm, the injury closing quickly and leaving no scar. Azem was thankful that Venat taught her healing magic before she left the 14th seat to her.

Not-Munday Questions

I'm not sure, to be honest. I've always loved writing, or have loved it for as far back as I can remember. In elementary school, I carried a binder with lined paper in it and would always write Pokemon fanfics in it instead of playing during recess, and up 'til high school I was notorious for writing and drawing my original stories and characters in class when I should have been paying proper attention or doing my work.

Maybe it was the books I read that inspired it? My mom did scrounge up the money for me to get the first three Harry Potter books in this collector's box set when I was in like fourth or fifth grade? And I read them and loved them, though nowadays I am very much not a Harry Potter fan, no offense to those who are. I just really loved stories. I loved reading. I also adored video games like Ocarina of Time, and was absolutely obsessed with its characters and story, to the point where I would sit there and read and re-read the strategy guide for the game as if it were a novel. (I still have the Fire Temple memorized, as a result!)

I was never much of a sleeper when I was young, probably because of ADHD; so I distinctly remember writing my (admittedly very terribly written) original stories into the early hours of the morning, and I'd wake up extra early on the weekends to write as the sun came up. It was An Experience that I wish I could recreate.

It was funny, she wasn’t gonna lie. To hide behind a wall from a group of students wanting to hear her tales from outside of Amaurot, she was old enough to just say no and move on but she didn’t have the heart to do so when they all looked so... earnest and curious, like she once was when Venat took her under her wing.

She did sit down with them for a while but the more she talked about her adventures, the more they wanted, the more questions they asked, even the most ridiculous ones.

Sure, she is Azem, she is from the Convocation, she could just lie about being busy and run away but well. Azem was never the type to do things in the normal way.

So when she saw Kratos pass by, she saw the opportunity to stand and run to him, creating an excuse to leave. Even grabbing Kratos’ arm to drag him away from the kids.

They weren’t the only ones wanting a bit of her attention, though. Each time she passed someone, they would try to stop her to ask her some things. And each time she was getting more ridiculous with her excuses to not answer them.

So now they were hiding behind a wall for a bit, the blonde giggling at the situation she got Kratos into, even if he looked grumpy as ever.

“Oh, did they stop following us?” Azem peaked her head to look around and check if the teacher was following her before turning to her reluctant partner in crime. “Apparently so~!” Giggling again, the traveller stands from where she was sitting waiting for the other to do the same. “Well, wasn’t that fun? I think it’s getting late and I have stuff to do before I go to my mission tomorrow”.

While her smile was still in a mischievous curl, her eyes were soft yet shining in amusement. Though she blinked after a while because she was staring at him and chuckled in embarrassment. Quickly giving a peck on his cheek so she could turn her back to him and hide her blush, Azem made a gesture with her hand as a goodbye.

Azem smiles softly. He had long since gotten good at faking smiles, forcing laughs, all of it. He was pleased that his mask hid his eyes. It was harder for him to disguise his emotions in them. That smile he offers the other is reassuring. ‘Don’t worry about me.’ or “Everything is fine.’ were the feelings he wanted to send to the other. 

In truth, Azem was used to being on his own. But he had never felt so alone before. Now that he had to keep secrets and he knew things he shouldn’t, he felt a distinct wall between himself and others. Even the people he loved more than anything.

Her forehead has been laying on her desk after she let out some steam, now with zero energy to do anything. Azem didn’t mean to for anyone to hear her but it seems she forgot to magick the walls to be soundproof. 

The blonde ignores the presence of the other soul inside her office. She knew who it was, she didn’t have the energy nor the will to raise her head. Azem was totally drained.

Well, the smell of freshly brew tea actually made move herself and raise her head, letting her chin rest on the wood of the desk, with an apologetic look in her vibrant green eyes.

She was gonna say he didn’t have to do it but she stayed quiet for a while. It was a little bit comforting to know someone cared and didn’t question her screams. Though, Azem was a little embarrassed that someone heard her. She is part of the Convocation now, she needed to level out her emotions, even if they were everywhere and didn’t know how to actually deal with them.
