It was a concentrated effort to not throw the boot off his windpipe - at least, not enough to throw the large boot off his source of oxygen. They still gripped the boot, a choking sound emitting from his throat as further pressure was applied. Cloud had surely been snarkier in the past and only got by with a look of warning before. What he'd said that caused grave offence was lost on him but the SOLDIER wouldn't dare question it. Once the boot lifted from his throat, Cloud sat up, rubbing his neck to sooth the abuse it just took. ".. Yes, Sir." "I'd deal out your punishment more, however I lost interest." A first perhaps. With a cold indifference, he left the room with a slam of the door, proceeding to his study instead. The bedroom would do him no justice tonight.
A new experiment he was gambling on, though he was very aware that it would end with him being in a foul mood come morning. For now, his hand would be busy with the fountain pen in it. While Cloud studied, he would write.
