Korra,
Right now, your head is on my lap, right next to my bed. You are still adorable. That position is probably much harder on your back than it used to be though. I’m writing this to you now, just in case I go before you wake. To say that our lives have been interesting is the greatest understatement, but I regret nothing, because these have been the most wonderful, most entertaining years of my life.
I know you’re going to have a hard time on your own, but you’ve grown so much since we met, I’m sure you can take care of things. Don’t let the little ones push you around too much okay. Get help from our friends, even if they’re busy with their own families you know they’ll go out of their way to give you a hand anyway.
Please, remember that I love you. And I always have.

"This one’s all dried up, one second." Korra took the faintly damp cloth off of Asami’s forehead and went to soak it again. Things have been rather easy on Korra’s end, changing the temperature of the water to be colder and keeping tea hot to help Asami fight off the fever she’s gotten.
"There." Gently putting the refreshed towel on Asami, she put part of her leg on the bed so she could sit facing her. "How do you feel now that you got some rest?"
Asami was barely awake, her body and mind exhausted from coughing all night, and fighting the fever so hard. But she managed to turn her head toward Korra just the same, offering a weak smile even with her barely open eyes. She wanted to say something so badly, but even if she had the strength, her voice was gone.
So instead, she weakly grabbed hold of Korra's wrist, giving it a light squeeze and letting a ragged exhale escape her lips.
