#omega!max

(For a while now we've been discussing the idea of omega!max crashing and then going to heat when a marshal helps him out of the car, I thought that for today's kinktober we could finally give this concept it's own fic! If anyone wants to add their own thoughts or hear more about this, please send in some asks! I'll be tagging everything with 'marshal!reader')

You watch from your marshal post as a red bull goes wide and hits the barriers, the car spins twice and then settles, losing a wheel in the process. You wait until the yellow flag is out and then rush forward to collect the debris, as you have been trained.

You check on the driver, realising it's max when you see the number on the car. You try to confirm he's conscious, but when he spots you he motions for help getting out the car. There are other marshals already clearing the debris so you do as he asks.

The moment he's out the car, he's frantically trying to get his helmet off. He appears unharmed, but you can smell the fear off him from a mile away.

The moment his helmet is off, he takes a few deep breaths, looks at you, and then just drops his helmet and gloves and dives into your arms. You nearly both topple down, having not expected it, but luckily you manage to catch him.

He whines high in his throat, turning his neck to the side as he clings to you and that's when you smell it. The scent of slick finally making itself known.

You realise he's in heat.

You try to back away, knowing you're unmated alpha and that he must be reacting to you. But he whines and clings to you even tighter, refusing to let you go.

"Don't leave," he mumbles against you, "please don't leave."

The medical car arrives but max still refuses to let you go, trying to hide against your neck.

The doctor ends up telling you to come with him, knowing that trying to get an omega in heat away from an alpha they've chosen is a losing battle. You don't want to leave your post, but your instincts are completely honed into the omega who won't let you go.

You know you have to go with them.

Max is whining the whole car ride to the medical centre, hissing at the doctor when he opens the door when they arrive. You have to coax Max out of the car, promising him that you're coming with and that you won't leave him.

Not that you would ever want to leave him.

They end up injecting heat suppressants into his arm, which calms him down enough that you can convince him to let you go and escape out the medical centre.

It hurts so much, because all your instincts are screaming at you to go back and look after the omega who has chosen you. But logically you know that's not the case. Max must have gone into a shock heat when he crashed, and you were simply the first alpha he encountered. He doesn't even know your name, there's no way it's anything more than instincts and now that he's been giving suppressants, you're sure he's going to be mortified once he can think straight.

So you leave.

“You literally invited me.” Lando raised the tote bags at his side, pulling them out of Max’s reach playfully.

“Mate! Don’t be a dick.” Max pouted while Lando laughed at him.

“You’re so jumpy, nervous?” Lando walked into the kitchen, making sure to not brush against any furniture.

“Yeah, well. It’s his first rut since— y’know.” And Lando did know. This was Daniel’s first rut with Max since they got back together, since Daniel was allowed back on the grid, since Red Bull took him on so they could keep courting, since Daniel got healthy again. Since the incident.

Since Daniel had a public mental breakdown and they disbanded his pack, saying he wasn’t a fit alpha to take care of anyone.

Max had been taken into Charles’ pack and Lando to Carlos’.

“Are you guys going to mate?” Lando asked, picking at his cuticles— a Daniel habit he picked up.

“No, not yet. He wants it to be special he said.” Max smiled softly.

“Where is he?” Lando had expected to see the alpha in the couch with the way how his scent was so strong— as if he’d been walking around and rubbing his armpits everywhere.

“He’s taking a shower.—“

“Maxy do we have any of those- oh hey Lando.” Daniel walked into the living room scratching his ear. His shirt clung to the wet spots on his shoulders and back.

“Hey mate, how’re you feeling?” Lando chirped, giving in to a quick hug.

“Steady. I’m feeling steady.” Daniel slung an arm around Max’s shoulder and the omega leaned into him easily and with a smile. Lando couldn’t hold back his grin.

“It’s, not working, it really isn’t, Charles.” Max shook his head, standing in the paddock not even an arms length from Charles. “I’m sorry.” He took a deep breath looking at the shocked, panicking alpha. “Maybe-, maybe you should just go back and fuck all those other omegas,” he swallowed hard, hoping he could finish before breaking down. “But you know, you always say you want many pups, well guess what none of them look like they’d give you any, they’d leave you before it could get serious enough. They are not here to make you happy on the long run.” With a short pause, his right hand slid onto his left forearm, half-hugging himself. “But it looks like I can’t either.” Sniffing, he rubbed his arm, the movement alone breaking Charles’ heart. What had he done. “Good bye, Charles, I think we are just working alongside each other from now on.” Looking up he caught the gaze of the alpha, and he didn’t need to look for long to know how he felt, his scent bitter and sour has already told the story.

Before Charles could have protested Max turned around and hurried into the Red Bull hospitality, the doors closing behind him both in reality and metaphorically. This was only the second race of the season, but he couldn’t hold up with everything the messy alpha brought into his life. He tried, they both tried but as unexpected Charles stormed into his life, he left an equally big mess and after one point it didn’t matter how Max felt, he couldn’t ignore the things his brain told him anymore.

He was gonna miss it and it will be extremely difficult given, that he will see Charles most of his year still, even if he told Christian to keep the alpha away from him, forget everything he asked before about looking past when Charles sneaked into his drivers room or trailer. He used ridiculous amount of scent blockers for months to try and somewhat hide his heartbreak and his occasional arousal when Charles decided to seduce half the paddock by running around half naked. He held up good, better than he thought actually. It seemed like his broken heart was a pretty good cure for his previously insatiable hunger for the brunette. Not once he asked for Charles in his first heat alone neither in his less sober moments, not during the whole spring.

He was fine until the summer start, until he started to talk to the alpha again apart from the clear necessities. When Christian asked him, he could lie and say he didn’t miss Charles, he’s didn’t feel anything when the alpha approached him and congratulated him or when he put his arms around Max at the pictures at quali or on the podium. For Christian he might be able to lie, his success was questionable tho, but to himself it was a lost cause. The feeling of excitement whenever Charles was around him was undeniable, so were the butterflies in his stomach when the alpha was laughing, his beautiful smile and cute dimples on full display. Max could scold himself as much as he wanted but he couldn’t deny the feeling he still, against his better judgment, harboured for the brunette. He missed his embrace, cuddling after a race, collecting his shirts for his nest, the sweet lips on his skin, that stupid accent which got thicker on occasion.

Shaking his head he walked into the club, it was stuffy and hot, something he could expect in the hot weather Monaco had in the summer. The last week of their summer break was ending and he was unsure if he missed seeing Charles walking around the paddock, sending him a small smile and a wink sometimes or if he preferred not meeting him at all.

Not even his first drink was finished when he saw the younger one stumble into the club, in a white shirt and loose jeans, his shirt unbuttoned just enough to still call it decent by a thread. Somehow that one moment, laying his eyes on him, the green ones flashing to him in an instant felt fatal. He felt Charles’ gaze on himself all night and when he dared to look he caught the alpha looking away too quickly or sometimes holding his gaze as he lifted his glass to his red lips. Max had to purse his lips and look down to his own drink, trying not to press his thighs together. Like his bones knew what was to come, like his body picked up that one scent from the heap of bodies, from a million, clearly pinpointing Charles. His scent was strong, a hint of arousal, lust and stress mixing with the usual notes. Something that only alarmed him now felt like something was postponed and pushed trough the whole summer and it seemed inevitable, he felt it, he could smell it.

It didn’t come as a surprise when he felt two, strong, familiar hands on his body, swaying his hips to the rhythm of the music. He didn’t turn around, not yet, instead he had all the intentions to savour this moment, his back pressed against Charles’ chest, the oh so missed lips travelling on his neck, mapping out the familiar edges and curves, and those long fingers running on his body leaving the alphas scent all over him. Listening to his brain wasn’t an option, not when Charles was right there, when his heart was soaring, when his body was screaming; more. Max let himself guided, let himself to be scented, to be seduced and he got drunk happily on the intoxicating scent of the only alpha he wanted for too long now.

Their journey to Charles apartment was short, and as soon as the door was closed behind him he pulled the brunette close, crashing their lips together. “ I thought you’d never want this again.”

“I never stopped wanting you.” The haphazard words were breathed onto his neck when Charles picked him up to carry him to the bedroom, the one Max remembered vividly still. He has been here for more nights and days than he could count.

By the time Max’s back hit the silky bedsheets they both were naked. Charles drove him crazy, and in return he made the alpha feral, and desperate for him. Sharp teeth scratched his skin on multiple places, leaving small, quickly fading marks. “You hurt me.” Max blurted out, his fingers slipping into the soft hair pushing Charles down on his stomach.

“I was so fucking stupid. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I was stupid.” The words of apology poured onto his inner thighs, followed by many new marks, some faded but most remained and Max shivered to the thought of it. Being marked and scented by Charles again. “You were right and I’m so fucking sorry.” He peppered kisses on Max’s skin, coating his lips in fresh slick, groaning in need when he lick them clean, leaning in for a fresh taste.

Max cried out, pulling his knees up, arching his back, brining his arm above his eyes, moaning to the wet tongue lapping at him. God he missed it. He missed Charles, his scent on his own skin, everything, and he would have felt vulnerable, lost if he didn’t see the same hunger, the same heat the same desperation in those hazy green eyes. When Charles lined up against him it felt like an eternity until he pushed in, his fat cock spreading Max’s tight hole to the limit. “God, I missed this, I missed you, I love you.” Charles was babbling, drunk and intoxicated on the sensations, on the pleasure, on Max. He was stupid and he only knew it too late but he always prided himself on learning from his own mistakes, well this was a perfect opportunity.

Neither of them had it in them to put any space between their bodies, no matter how much easier or better Charles could have thrusted into Max. Maybe this wasn’t the best time, but it hit him like a freight train and he couldn’t shake Max’s words from that second race ever since.

“Omega-,” their moans and heavy breathing filled his room, “Maxy, pretty omega.” He was positively high on the body and scent of the other one. “Maybe I am stupid, and maybe I just missed you too much to think, but I want you now and I have always wanted you, and just know this, I’ll wait, I’ll apologise, I’ll do anything to be with you, I’ll do anything to breed you.”

Max whined, his lips opening to a silent scream, his fingers dragging down on the broad back, leaving red marks in their wake. He was too gone in his head to think, his impending orgasm not helping his case either. “Bite me, alpha.” Exposing his neck, his eyes opened wide and rolled back when Charles pressed his lips against that spot and Max came fast and hard, pushing Charles over the edge too, milking his cock, crying as the thick knot filled him up even more, connecting their bodies tightly.

Breathing heavily, Max opened his eyes, not seeing more than a mop of brown hair and it took him a while to come to his senses. Charles’ lips were attached to his neck, his knot deep inside of him, oh dear god what had they done.
