Florence Seriki began as a computer tutor that became a computer salesperson, though her undergraduate degree was in Chemical Engineering. She also earned an MBA. She is now founder and CEO for Omatek Computers, a manufacturer of desktop and laptop computers. Omatek made history by becoming the first IT firm listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The Nigerian ICT sector has lost an iconic innovator and entrepreneur.

It has been confirmed that Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Omatek Ventures Plc, Florence Serki died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH after suffering from cancer of the pancreas. She was 54 years of age.
