“you know, showing up at my apartment this time of night might give people the wrong idea.” omar smirked, pushing the door open further to invite patrick inside. it wasn’t the first time he’d gotten a late night text message from the guy, and he had a feeling it wasn’t about to be the last, either. not that he minded, though. not in the slightest. patrick was hot, and fun, and though things had been rocky for them in the past, they’d grown a lot closer recently. ...in more ways than one. “can i get you a drink? or should we skip the pleasantries and just go straight to fucking?” 

Okay, so, sure, technically he had told Omar that he’d give him space, but... he had already, right? During his trip, and... well... last night. That was probably good enough. It’d have to be, because there was no way he could go another day without seeing Omar. It had been forever since they’d had a Facetime call, and even longer since they’d been together in person. He missed him terribly. As great and as needed as his trip had been, it had always felt like a part of him just wasn’t there. And he knew now more than ever what that had been - Omar. 

He was quiet as he entered the store, not entirely sure what to expect. After all, he still wasn’t positive how Omar’s parents felt about him, and frankly, there was still a little resentment inside him for the way they’d treated Omar in the past, even if it seemed like his ex had managed to forgive them. Fortunately, however, the one and only other person currently in the front of the store was just the man he’d come to see. Handsome as ever, standing behind the counter, immediately bringing a smile to Ander’s lips. “Hey, stranger. Long time no see.” 

He stopped in his car, way longer than would have been acceptable. Why? He asked himself, trying to think of a reasonable justification for the visit. He couldn’t straight up just say he missed Caleb — they weren’t like that. He marched to his front door and knocked, maybe a little too tense. “Hey.” He smiles when Caleb opens the door. “I just.. I don’t know, thought I’d drop by.” He shrugged, raising the six-pack of beer. “Beer?"
