Notes: I forgot to post this lol but yeah here this is, two weeks later with Olirik as an actual couple that isn't broken up
Olivia: Olivia didn’t want to get too dressed up for tonight, considering it was her parents. She had been standing over her bag for at least ten minutes, not sure what dress she wanted to wear for when they went. She ended up grabbing a green sundress she had gotten years ago and slipped it on, walking out to where Erik was and leaning against the wall. “Are you one hundred percent positive you want to do this?” she asked, not sure how having her parents and her boyfriend in the same room would work out.
Erik: He looked at her and gave her the best smile that he could pull off at the moment, “No, not really.” He said nervously as he shook his head. He looked down at himself at the white shit that hwas wearing with dark beige pants, “Do I look presentable?”
Olivia: Olivia gave him a little smile back, nodding a bit. “Yes, you look presentable,” she told him, tapping her fingers on the wall.
Erik: “Um, you ready?” He asked as he looked at her wondering why she was ready, he though girls always needed bazillion years to get ready.
Olivia: Olivia nodded again, before realizing she would probably need shoes. “Hold on,” she said, turning back and walking back to her bag, pulling out a pair of flats and putting them on. She walked back over to him, smiling a little. “Okay, now I’m ready.”
Erik: He looked at her and smiled now not having to force himself to because just looking at her reminded him how much he loved her, “You look beautiful.” He said simply before opening the door. “How are we going to get there exactly? Because everyone I know has forbid me to drive a car since the last time.”
Olivia: Olivia blushed a bit, glancing down at her hands for a moment. “Thank you,” she said quietly, a small smile creeping onto her face. She walked next to him, running a hand through her hair. “Um, I can drive. Or we can take a cab or something,” she told him, not wanting to let him drive ever again.
Erik: “You have a car?!” He asked surprised, “If you actually own a car maybe you could drive?” With that he decided to change the topic, because who could guarantee that her parents are actually going to be horrible and that he would end up throwing punches, maybe they won’t be and if that’s going to be the case by some crazy chance then he wanted to know what he was supposed to say and do. “Schatz, is there something that I could say to get your parents talking? I haven’t been around Malibu people in a while, I’m not all smooth and foxy like I used to be.” He said with a small laugh.
Olivia: “Yes, I have a car,” Olivia laughed a little. “I just keep it here and don’t bring it to New York because driving in New York is stupid,” she said, raising her eyebrpw at his quesiton. She sighed a bit, not knowing how she could answer him. “I honestly have no idea. Just… ask them how they are or something,” she said, sounding if she was the one asking how to talk to them. “Or bring up my dad’s business or something,” she said, biting her lip.
Erik: He nodded agreeing, he was a perfect example of how stupid driving in New York was and what ti could cost you. He let out a loud laugh, “To ask them how they are? Very original.” He said giving her thumbs up. “What does your dad do?”
Olivia: “I don’t even know how to talk to my parents, let alone what to tell people to say to them,” Olivia laughing a little, shaking her head. “He sells yachts, kind of. He’s the CEO of this yacht business thing.”
Erik: He rolled his eyes because that just proved how her parents after all were not good. I mean their own child didn’t know how to talk to them.Yachts? I know nothing about yachts.” He said as he let out a sigh. “Are they into politics?”
Olivia: “I know,” she said with a small sigh, shaking her head a bit. “I know llittle to nothing about yachts to be honest,” she said walking towards the door. “I think they are?” she said simply.
Erik: Erik just shook his head trying to prepare himself for what was behind those doors. “Well since my dad is the vice president and that’s politics I will talk about that and brag about my family?” He laughed as he walked to the doors with her and rang the bell.
Olivia: “I mean, that works,” she said with a small smile, nervously tapping her foot on the ground as they waited for someone to answer. “They always take forever to answer,” she said quietly, listening for footsteps or something twoards the door. Olivia shook her head when they didn’t answer, knocking on thed oor again. This time, she heard someone coming towards the door and it opened to reveal her dad. “Hi, sorry, we were busy,” he said simply, moving a bit so they could go inside. Olivia glanced over at Erik before looking at her dad. “Hi, dad, this is Erik,” she said, taking Erik’s hand and pulling him inside with her.
Erik: He looked nervously between Olivia and her dad and remembered to smile. He took her hand and walked inside with her, “Um, it’s a pleasure, sir.” He said as he went for a handshake.
Olivia: Michael(thats his name in case u didnt know or something) looked Erik up and down before shaking his hand. “Yeah, pleasure to meet you too,” he said before looking over towards the dining room. “This way,” he said, walking into the other room. Olivia gave Erik a little smile, more to make herself feel better and slowly followed behind.
Erik: Erik rose an eyebrow at him and gave him a small smile before looking at Olivia, “You gonna be alright?” He whispered in his ear being ready to leave whenever she says.
Olivia: Olivia sighed, tightening her grip on his hand “I’m fine for now,” she said quietly, walking over to where the table was and where her dad had already sat down. “Um, where’s mom?” Olivia asked, not sitting down yet. Her dad leaned agianst the table, motioning for them to sit. “She’s getting the food from Bridgette, dont worry.”
Erik: Erik pulled out a chair for Olivia before sitting down. He looked around trying not to stab himself with a for or a knife because of the silence that he had to break. “So, um, yachts?” Just flew out fo his mind and he looked at Olivia a little scared and a lot nervous.
Olivia: “Thank you,” Olivia whispered, sitting down and tapping her fingers against the table. She bit her lip at Erik’s comment, attempting not to laugh. Her dad looked up, squinting at him. “Yes, yachts, they’re basically my life,” Michael said, chuckling a bit and leaning back against the chair.
Erik: Erik nodded, “Um, why?” He asked and then decided to continue, “I mean sure they are nice and fancy and very glamorous but… I don’t get it.” He said with a shrug trying not to come off as rude.
Olivia: Michael shrugged, looking towards the kitchen before looking back. “I sell them for a living. I’m like a car dealer, but with yachts. Therefore, yachts are my life,” he finished, just as Carmen, Olivia’s mother, walked in. “Hi, sorry, I’m late, there will be pasta or something out in a minute,” she said, taking a seat across from Olivia. “Hi, Liv, hi…” she stopped, looking over at Erik. “Erik, right, yes, hi, Erik.”
Erik: Erik turned to Olivia with wide eyes, before saying quietly “Okay then.” He turned around once he heard someone else enter the room. “Hello, Mrs. Brighton.” He said as he gave her a smile, “Um, yes, that’s my name.” He was surprise that she even cared enough to remember his name.
Olivia: Olivia just looked at him, leaning her head on her hands when her mom walked in. She didn’t bother to look at her or anything, just listened to what she would say. “I knew it,” Carmen said, looking over at Olivia. “See, I’m not that terrible,” she said, causing Olivia to look up for a moment.“Yeah, definitely not,” Olivia said, rolling her eyes a bit.
Erik: Erik tried not to laugh at Olivia’s comment, he took her hand making sure she’s okay. “Lovely home I must admit.” He said just for the sake of saying something, he didn’t remember the last tiem he felt this awkward.
Olivia: Olivia smiled to herself when he took her hand, lacing her fingers with his. Her mom nodded, awkwardly tapping her fingers on the table. “Thank you, I put a lot of pride into it,” she said before Michael tunred and yelled something about bringing food out to the kitchen. He turned back around to look at Erik and Olivia for a second. “So, Erik,” he started, “what do you do? Or if you don’t do anything, what do you want to do?”
Erik: Erik flinched as Olivia’s dad yelled suddenly. “Yes?” He asked before her dad continued and he smiled that this conversation was about him and not to be a narcissist but he could talk about his drams and future, that turns out he didn’t have much considering how he was dying, but he could still hope and dream. “I go to Columbia, I’m going to be a lawyer in a year or two.” He said with pride.
Olivia: Michael nodded, about to answer before someone walked out with plates and a huge bowl of some sort of pasta. Carmen started handing out dishes, as Michael began talking again. “That’s exciting,” he said. “Do you want to be a defense attorney or a prosecutor?” he asked, passing food around the table.
Erik: Food, thank God, now out mouths will be full and we won’t have to talk, Erik thought. “Defense attorney, definitely.”
Olivia: Olivia piled food on her plate, the nerves in her stomach that had been there since that morning not going away. Carmen looked up from her dish over at Erik. “So you want to defend the criminals?” she asked, taking a bite of the spaghetti.
Erik: Erik started eating food and he finished everythign in his mouth before answering, “I want to defend anyone who has enough money to afford me.” He said and gave them a quick smile before taking another bite.
Olivia: Carmen nodded, before looking over at Olivia. “So, Livy, how’s modeling going?” she asked. Olivia looked up at her, shrugging a bit. “Good, I guess. I have a shoot Monday for ELLE and,” she started, before a phone rang and she stopped talking. Carmen reached down to her pocket and took out her cell phone, putting a finger up towards Olivia and answered. “Hello?” Carmen spoke into the phone. “No, not busy,” she said, leaning back in her seat and not looking at any of them. Olivia felt tears spark in her eyes, thinking that out of everything that could have happened this did. She blinked them back, staring at her mom and not looking anywhere else.
Erik: Erik’s eyes widened at Olivia’s mom and he took a sip of his water as he felt anger build up inside of him, “Um, excuse me?!” He said a litte louder as he looked at Mrs. Brighton.
Olivia: Carmen looked up at Erik, raising her eyebrows. “Im on the phone,” she said simply, going back to her call. Michael looked at the three of them, having finished his food. “If you three don’t mind, I’m just gonna go back to my work now,” he said, beginning to stand up. Olivia bit her lip and set her head in her hands, blinking back the tears threatening to spill.
Erik: Erik got up his fist firmly resting on the table. “What the fuck is wrong with two of you?!” He asked tryign not to raise his voice too much. “You’re doign this to your daughter?” He asked as he looked at Olivia and his heart broke as he saw her like that. “I was going to give you two a chance but you are horrible and you will never know how lucky you are to have her as your daughter because you are just so awful that you don’t even care about her.”
Olivia: “Erik,” Olivia whispered, still not looking up at any of them. Carmen and Michael both had wide eyes, staring at him. Michael finally cleared his throat, glancing over at Olivia for a moment. “We care about her-” he started before Carmen cut him off. “Sorry I have to talk to my manager about my job, which is why Olivia is even here today, might I add. You know nothing about our family, and at this point, I don’t want you to. How dare you accuse me of not caring about my daughter?” she hissed, glaring over at him.
Erik: “I know that the only thing you care about is yourself! You dont care about your daughter or he health or what she does and with whom. All you ever cared for was that she doesn’t embarrass you in front of some fucking paparazzi and you are horrible, you are a horrible mother and you don’t care!” He said as he looked at Olivia and took her hand, “Let’s go, schatz, hm?” He couldn’t believe they did this to her.
Olivia: Olivia was silent the entire time, not even noticing the tears that had fallen down her face. Carmen was speechless, unable to say anything to him. Michael, on the other hand, was looking over at Olivia with a softer expression, realizing everything they had done wrong. “I’m sorry,” he said simply, earning himself a glare from his wife. Olivia stood up, taking Erik’s hand and looking over at her dad. She didn’t say anything to him, just started walking towards the door, not knowing what she could say.
Erik: Erik walked out of the house with her before hugging her, “I’m so sorry.” He said as he held her in his arms.
Olivia: Olivia instantly hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder, attempting to blink back the tears. “I hate them,” she whispered, finally letting it out about her parents. “I can’t stand it here and I hate them,” she told him wiping her tears.
Erik: “I’m sorry.” That’s all he could say, “I love you and I know I can’t be enough but I will try.” He said as he looked at her feeling so helpless because all he could do is hold her and tell her how much he loves her.
Olivia: Olivia sniffled, pulling away to look at him. “I love you too,” she said, kissing his cheek lightly. “You’re enough,” she said, “You’re always enough.”
Erik: He smiled hating himself for being like this, for being sick and telling her he loves her and knowing that he might not be telling her those words soon because he will be gone. “Beach is nice during the night. Wanna go?”
Olivia: Olivia nodded, giving him a tiny smile. “Yeah, let’s go. The beach isn’t crowded at night, that’s a plus,” she told him, blinking a bit.
Erik: He shook his head, “No, it’s not.” He leaned in and kissed her lips.
Olivia: Olivia went up on her tip toes to kiss him, wrapping her arms up and around his neck as she kissed him back.
Erik: He pulled away and smiled at her, “You’re amazing and your parents are idiots for not realizing how lucky they are to have you.”
Olivia: Olivia gave him a small smile, sighing a little. “Thank you,” she whsipered, looking back at her old house. “Maybe they’ll realize it one day.”
Erik: “Yea, I’m just afraid it will be too late.” He said as he took her hand and pulled her closer to him, “Let’s go, hm?”
Olivia: Olivia sighed again, shrugging. “Yeah, let’s go,” she said, leaning in closer to him and going towards the beach.
