A simple yet flavorful pasta dish featuring spaghetti, mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil seasoned with red pepper flakes and parsley.
Ingredients: 300g spaghetti pasta. 4 tablespoons olive oil. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 200g mushrooms, sliced. 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste. Salt to taste. Freshly ground black pepper to taste. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the spaghetti until it is al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside. Save 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Put the olive oil in a big pan and heat it over medium-low heat. For about one minute, until the garlic smells good, add the minced garlic. Put mushrooms slices in the pan and cook them until they turn golden brown and soft, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and stir them into the mushrooms and garlic in the pan. Put the cooked pasta and the pasta water you saved in the pan. Mix everything together until the oil and seasonings are well spread out on the pasta. Take the pan off the heat and add the chopped parsley to the pasta.
