We have a training set-up now at #rancho_olympia that is perfect and we had perfect conditions there today, but competitions are rarely on perfect days. So we decided to work into the wind at #olemisstrack . Over the years, we’ve seen so many young vaulters that cannot mentally face a headwind? That’s because in training, they want “perfect” tailwind conditions. “Can’t train today!” “Headwind” or “crosswind.” Not true! It’s a mental challenge, that’s all. Get on a favorite training pole and take a few into that wind.
