I posted this photo of my favorite wall on Facebook. I like the responses I got: historical, cultural, personal experiences, and energetic pull. Often while walking below Houston and going from west to east, I find myself walking across Prince Street and this magnificent wall of brick. I especially like it at night when there is often no one walking on that side of the street and I can capture the extreme perspective of the length and the curves. My son also told me Robert Gober’s studio was across the street from this wall and was the place he had to move out of because it had no AC and the beeswax he uses would drip on the floor and made it too slippery to work.
