It is now Day 27 of my #30WeirdObsessionsChallenge and my 27th weird obsession is old or foreign instruments. I love music of all kinds and I find the instruments that make them to be magical tools. But I am very very fascinated with instruments that were used in the past as well as new ones. I also really love foreign instruments because their so different and carry so much history. Pictured is a nyckelharpa by Bernt Södergârd from 1981 which you can find on The Museum of Curious Instruments sight. A nyckelharpa is a traditional Swedish instrument that date back to approximately 1350.
