Sebastian Foster X Style Milk Print Collection: Dana Oldfather

I am happy to proceed the release of constrained edition inexpensive art prints produced in collaboration with some of my favored modern artists and art gallery Sebastian Foster.

The second print release is a constrained edition print of an original painting called “Contact 01″ by Dana Oldfather, whose work we’ve featured ahead of. The print is 11″x14″, signed and numbered, and restricted to an edition of 50.

I chatted with Dana a minor bit about her inspiration and process:

What’s your preferred medium?

For the previous couple of many years I’ve been performing mixed media painting with oil, waterproof inks, spray paint, acrylics, and drawing media like markers and pencil. I’m starting to phase out the drawing media and am focusing predominantly on oil and spray paint.

How do you technique/commence a painting?

By imagining types on a blank surface, then cutting loose with gestural underpainting.

What inspired “Contact 01”?

Energy terminals and lines stretching by means of excellent swaths of tree lined grass.

Do you pay attention to music although painting? If so, what’s on your playlist?

Yes, at times. Currently Ryan Adams and The Cardinals. His music feels like the Midwest in Summer time.

Who is your favourite living contemporary artist?

That is hard. There are so numerous I really get pleasure from. 1 that sticks out to me appropriate now is Cynthia Ona Innis. She helps make this kind of wonderful breathable operate that by no means seems to be underdone.
