I added an Andrew Peterson station to my Pandora account today. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. He's one of those artists that will never be my absolute favorite, but every time I listen to him, it has a calming effect on my soul. I need more calming influences, to slow down the busyness that rattles around in my head. This helps. I know it's not the most kick-ass, Idiocracy inspired music, and the lyrics are sometimes cheesy (think of him as a poor man's Rich Mullins...you know, if Rich Mullins hadn't been poor himself), but I still think everybody could use more Andrew Peterson in their lives. And less Justin Bieber. Is he still popular with the kids? #oldandoutoftouch
